Strange occurrence with my heart.
Just a few minutes ago, I was sitting and calmly browsing the web when all of a sudden my heart started pounding. I felt it in my chest and a little bit in my throat. It felt as if my heart was about to burst out of my chest. The accelerated heartbeat only lasted a couple seconds. I wasn't dizzy afterwards, nor did I have trouble breathing so it wasn't a heart palpitation. It wasn't painful either. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Have you had any caffeine recently? Do your parents have any heart related issues? May be nothing. I had that happen a few times in my teens, but not normally anytime after that without some sort of physical or emotional distress.

It happens to me sometimes. I got it checked, they didn't see any problems. You should probably do the same.

I have the exact same problem accept it also beats irregularly when doing this and it happens quite often. I do not like it at all. And have no idea what it could be.
