Is there anything that you still enjoy/love about D2?
If so what is it?"🤔💭

1 commentaireThe movement. It's the most natural feeling of any game I've played. I am so sick of all these Unreal Engine games! I love soaring as a Titan and the air control of a Warlock. My Hunter jumps are precise and controlled. I just think my movements and I'm there. Weapons are amazing too. Guns galore and also swords! And the swords are easy to use, not all this B for hard attack and Y for soft attack and X for a massive attack, that plague the hack and slash games. Easy weapon switch without the D-pad. Grenades and melee controls that make sense, not selecting a grenade from the D-pad first or having to push down on a thumbstick for melee.

1 commentaireMoment-to-moment gameplay (tho it's a bit too ability-focused for my taste rn) Other than that? Anything outside the game like the lore.

1 commentaireSkeletor vids, content creator crash outs, and the friends I made along the way.

1 commentaireI like logging in on Friday to see what Xur has. I also like logging in on reset to see what I can purchase with bright dust. That is pretty much it, I then log off.

Watching to see how Bungie fumbles week after week and throws away years of remaining goodwill to overwork devs for a different game that will probably bomb. Chef’s kiss

1 commentaireIn the game not really… I do love the forums though!

I love that It freed up a lot of hard drive space when I uninstalled it.

1 commentaireI love grinding the first 10 waves of widows court, and then not being able to continue!!! so much fun… once upon a time I hear told there were other waves in onslaught…

Sadly, no. I haven't played Destiny 2 for a long time, but to be honest I haven't had time to play anything at all for awhile. I started playing Destiny at the release day of Destiny 1, and Destiny has always been my go-to game. Occasionnaly I've played other games, but I always came back to Destiny and have always bought the full release. But I haven't had the interest to play Destiny 2 for awhile, I haven't even played through the standard campaign missions in Renegades yet, (I think I'm on the next to last one). Destiny has moved away from what I loved with it. I liked the larger maps, to explore the world, having a good story. The last years the releases has gotten worse and worse for every release in my opinion. They moved from an exploration shooter with good story and instead filled it with cramped story, meaningless mechanics that make no sense, timeconsuming fillers and bullet sponges. There is no sense that when you level up you are getting better as the enemies scale with your level. It just feels like a hamster wheel that gets smaller and smaller for every year.

1 commentaireThis old tortoise enjoys pootling about, doing simple stuff, catching up on unfinished seals / quests / etc. Destiny is a great ‘safe’ space to wile away in, as opposed to cruising the internet, where a few wrong clicks can lead to places best avoided. And, after catching up on the daily news, there’s only so many ‘funny’ cat vids one can watch. I love Destiny and I want / hope they don’t wreck it completely…though these days, my patience is being sorely tested. No matter how many column inches are penned to plead Destiny’s case, which appear to fall on stoney ground, all I can effectively change is to vote with my time / feet; hence, my recent trend concerning the pending launch of the Steam Game Cube / access to the extensive game library…and my pending switch to PC from PlayStation…and, maybe, Destiny, too?! That said…I don’t do raids / dungeons, though I jumped into VoG and scrambled down the rabbit hole past the 2nd chest…where thing’s unravelled fast…and players bounced. I was the only one on an open mic?! I got a VoC scout for my troubles. Next, I tried Crota (final c/p) - doing my bit from memory…clipping Boomers, etc., but players started to leave…then it was just me?! After, I watched a few raid vids…and things have moved on from my D1 raid recalls! No problemo! It was just a bit of a hoot, that’s all. What stood out was the absolute need to be playing with a team that communicates on open mics…and preferably, with a regular bunch of players, as it used to be in D1, where we raided nonstop! And also, to update my own knowledge of the raid, too…which is easily sorted. And there it is…the D1 ‘space magic’ vibe I knew and lived, just ain’t the same as the D2 Neomuna Overtuna (N.O.) vibe - which I don’t care for in the slightest. I look at the players who’ve posted on here, and I would happily form a raiding party with more than a few of them…time zones permitting! Maybe that’s the way to try and rekindle the space magic?! Otherwise, it’s back to pootling about in the wilderness! That is all. Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY

1 commentaireWhile going through cancer treatment back in early 2020, then the subsequent long recovery process, I would log into Destiny 2 was a means to keep in touch with friends and family. Most of the time I would get to the tower and fall asleep to the droning of the Cryptarch. That’s some of the best sleep I’ve ever experienced. I’ve always enjoyed strikes, exploring for and collecting secrets, triumphs, seals, and such, however, was not always able to devote the time to them. Now I try to log in daily to chase, and complete those older items. For instance, I recently knocked out all legend, master, and solo flawless lost sectors. Working on Queen’s Bounties now; yeah, I know it’s old content, but it’s amazing how much was forgotten. Now if I could only manage that seriously over-tuned Derealize mission, I could advance my guardian rank! If anyone else needs to knock it out, or anything else, then send a DM or catch me online. I’m on Central Time, Xbox, but can use Discord for coms for those on other platforms. I’m in it for entertainment, and the friends met along the way.

1 commentaireI know too much about bungie to ever truly enjoy it again, not sure i ever really did after I realised the mystique of D1 & it's huge potential, would never be realised. To me the game became sonething to fill time, I'm not a gamer & it does scratch that itch of a cheap filler of time that keeps me occupied - or did, I still try to play daily but almost daily i find new broken things that I know will never be fixed & so I logoff & watch sport, a show, or work out instead. The gunplay & movement combo is still a perfect setup that you won't find anywhere else & I guess thats what keeps me playing, as that's what's put me off every other FPS I've ever tried. I could put up with all bungies issues if they nailed down incentives to keep people playing but they've watered it down to the bare bones that much that they're lost now & I think it's too late.

1 commentaireCompleting weekly orders to earn enough brightdust for the weekly Eververse content drop is fun The portal with all its matchmaking and so many options to limit my loadouts. * Said no guardian ever lol
-
1 commentaireTitan prismatic consecration with spirit of contact and severance. :) The activity does not matter, the gameplay loop and build crafting are the reason I still play.
-
1 commentaireI check in on new events (real events, not pretenders like Deluge) and will play when I enjoy them (Dawning and Arms Week), but beyond that I've pretty much moved on.

1 commentairePersonally, Destiny as franchise, is my favorite games of all-time. I know it's over , but nothing will ever hit like destiny. Sooo many times I tried other games, some of the "better games " according to some. I realize almost asap , destiny is better. So personally, its my goat
