Why Do You Keep Shoving PvP Into PvE Content?
I am someone who truly hates PvP.
It annoys me, frustrates me, and I find it disgusting.
I am very aware that I am bad at the game, and that is exactly why I am certain that PvP is not something I can improve at just by trying harder.
Maybe if I changed my mindset and put in the effort, I could improve to some degree.
But I cannot endure that process.
Absolutely.
As one example, during the The Last Word quest, there was a PvP objective.
It was a quest where your progress increased when you killed players and decreased when you died.
When I tried to do it during the day, there were so many skilled players in Crucible matches that I kept dying nonstop, and the quest would not progress at all.
I became so angry at that time that I actually smashed my keyboard and monitor.
Eventually, it got to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night and play during hours when many people were AFK.
I probably did that for more than two weeks.
Now, seeing the invasion system added in the current Episode: Resistence, I am writing this out of anger.
I am also sick and tired of being killed by an invader and then getting spawn-killed immediately afterward.
Why do you keep forcing this dogshit, filthy, disgusting PvP into PvE and deliberately making players angry?
I hate PvP.
I do not want to do it.
I genuinely despise PvP.

2 commentairesWhen selecting mission choose Expert level and there is no Invasions. 100% no PvP required to complete any mission.

If you don’t wanna play the whole game don’t expect all of the loot. This is a PvE AND a PvP game.

I personally like PvP, and it’s totally fine you don’t. However, the Last Word quest is a weird point to bring up. It’s a PvP weapon.

Last Word is a pvp weapon. Yeah it's gonna require pvp to get.

A couple of reasons I can think of are PvP numbers are low. They’re trying to ‘encourage’ more players to play PvP. The future of Bungie rests with Marathon. It’s an extraction shooter, PvEvP game. Renegades is basically preparing/introducing the playerbase in advance of Marathon releasing early this year.

It just feels like its there to justify the activity not being just "another seasonal activity". Invasion could be removed and nothing would really change since it doesn't even affect much. Honestly it just shows how little care Bungie has that a system that is little more than an inconvenience is still added even in such a minor state because they just don't give a crap about Destiny. PvP has been dead in this game for ages because of poor balancing decisions and just general lack of content, and now they are putting out a mainly PvP loot game with Marathon which honestly is just laughable atp. Supposedly we might get combined arms back but its just too little too late.

This is barely PvP, my guy. The guy spawns in, you get 3 [b][i]bonus revives[/i][/b] so if you die it doesn't impact your revive count (he only has to get three kills to leave), and if he happens to die 3 times before he can do that, those are just extra revives for the rest of the mission. At times I wonder what it's like to be inside the head of someone who hates PvP as much as people like you do, but then I remember I have enough problems in my own mind and don't need to add your level of psychosis to it. EDIT: even better, since this complaint is about the Renegade invasions specifically, you don't even have to do them. Just change the difficulty to Expert if you're that concerned about finishing Priority contracts as I've read that Expert level doesn't have invasions.

6 commentairesOP: There's no shame in not liking PvP or not being very good at it. This bravado and mindset all stems from crucible modes, and many players have asked for it to be completely separated over the years. Imagine the outcry if PvP only players were expected to do raids or dungeons? I guess the reason they force as many players as possible into PvP is that so many have left the game, it's difficult to find enough players to form matches.

I’m pretty much the same but with the guns, I really want to do some builds but some of them require I go into PvP or trials and I’m like hahah no.

Honestly being invaded and killed has little to no bearing on the outcome of that encounter. It's just an inconvenience.

3 commentairesThere are multiple zones every day that don't have invasions activite btw. But anyway, the "pvp" in renegades is literally as minimal as it gets. There's only 1 invasion per game. And when they get their kills or die enough timesz they're done. Even if they wipe you're team, it's not going to take enough lives away to put you at risk of not completing the activity. It literally means nothing if you die, it doesn't affect your score or loot in anyway.

While I do believe a PVP newbie should have a protection buff in "learning mode" in Control... it sounds like you think you can enter Trials and Comp and expect to get better. Those competitive modes.. invasions whether its Gambit or Renegades are not places to learn.. is not you committing to get better at all... and you are literally cutting yourself off from fully enjoying the game. So stop your whining, and self-deprecating manner, you calling of other peoples fun > disgusting (this an extremely bad habit)... and get better by actually setting yourself up for success... or choose another game. Cause PVP is coming for you. -
51 commentairesThe best part is how if you just used a small amount brain power you would have figured out how to just select the mode that doesn't have invasions on and avoid it all together. You, however, made the choice to just whine on a public forum about how you were forced to play something in a videogame that no one is forcing you to play.

People sure are salty about these invasions. It’s such a simple mechanic. If you are such a baby about it just watch your radar and run and hide and let your teammates deal with it.
