Punishments for players abusing chat need a buff
Since EoF and especially in the last week, I've seen a LOT more people typing abusing, harrasing, and demeening things in the game chat. Reporting either does nothing, or doesn't carry enough of a punishment to curb the behavior.
No new player wants to get these messages when they are trying the game out, and as a 10+ year veteran, I don't want to see that garbage either. **Not being able to clear the chat history makes the issue worse, because I have to see these messages every time I open the menu until I reset the game.** Even blocking the perpetrator doesn't remove the messages from the feed.
**edit** I've learned the "/clear" will clear the chat. So this issue isn't quite as persistent as I thought. Other points remain valid.

I used to argue with them, but that was a waste of time. Now I just keep a Rake Angle in active inventory so I can bonk them in the head with it until they shut up.

If not then learn to get over it sugar bumps.

1 commentaireI'm personally on the notion that they should be banned from in-game chat, and the character they are playing on just gets deleted along with their vault.

Agreed. But you can just turn off chat when not in use. But i agree, there needs to be a filter to all that nonsense.
