Skill based matchmaking is broken. We’ve known this for years but now more than ever it’s feels somehow worse. So much so true vanguard has a fantastic video about it. For years bungie has promised to fix it and address it still haven’t done anything but made it worse. I hate the new system that was supposed to “help players get better” and “help players understand why they’re loosing fights”. Yeah the new system does none of that for me. No matter how much I -blam!- the meta I’m leaving people one shot but I’m the one dying. On my screen peoples heads are bouncing back like I’m hitting headies and yet they have no problem standing at the end of the fight and no flinch. So either your hit detection is wrong and just that terrible bungo or you don’t register the hits so what’s the point? How am I supposed to get better? For the first time in a long time I’m in tears in crucible and it’s a terrible time. I can’t even bring myself to keep playing for bounties for bright dust just as a filler for your artificially inflated playtime numbers. You want to help me learn what I’m doing wrong fix your game. Have consistent hit registration ban the cheaters who abuse the chronos and xim and learn how to balance a lobby beyond making a team constantly play a member down to drag out times. Try actually balancing the lobbies and stop catering to the 1% streamers advertising your game.

Lobbies will NEVER be balanced, again. They used to be 5.5 years ago, when you could watch the strength of each player’s connection speed (individual bar graph) measured as the lobby populated.
