They let Wendigo keep Explosive Light. They let Loaded Question keep Reservoir Burst. Why couldn't they let Breakneck keep Rampage/Onslaught? Bungie, if you are going to bring back these weapons that caused sunsetting in the first place, let them roll with the perks they had that made them unique. Otherwise, you're going to have a lot of unhappy players

They didn't let Wendigo keep blinding grenades.

The weapons that caused sunsetting were revoker, mountaintop, not forgotten, and recluse. The other pinnacle weapons were good, but let's not pretend that the crucible weapons weren't on another level entirely (and that the pinnacle perks that returned were nerfed)
-
And there were simple solutions to those. They nerfed all of them hard. If they were brought back, they wouldn't be problems. Mountaintop is worthless if you're not getting direct hits. All Revoker needed was to require a precision kill before it could refund a shot. Recluse just needed a small rework. Kills with another weapon would provide half the bonus. And Luna/ NF, I suggested ages ago, before sunsetting, to rework the perk so it just provided an escalating boost to damage that reset after every 3rd shot. Instead, they nerfed Magnificent Howl into the ground, then made perks like Cranial Spike and Precision Instrument, effectively making a different versions of MH that no one complains about. If the archetype was the issue, turn it back into a 180 and just give it bonus damage for the first 1-2 shots after every other kill. Problems solved.

We aren't arguing about if sunsetting was necessary. We're arguing about which weapons were the reason sunsetting happened.

Please. We all know the true monster was Oxygen SR3.

Im not gonna lie. I forgot that one even existed.

So did I lol. I remembered we had a scout one season, but I had to look up the name. The perk is only slightly better than dragonfly. Given we have incandescent, voltshot, and destabilizing rounds now, meganeura still wouldn't be good.
