Seems to work for me.

I go to orbit for a hot minute, let "that party" get ahead then I rejoin
-
& if you win easy, break teams up, if you get destroyed, sane lobby same teans next game lol

I MM with a team 5 in a row and my team gets obliterated each time..nothing . I then MM with a team and we win by 50.. Teams break up.. like wtf. Back to a team that gets obliterated.

Usually anytime I see that message I back out immediately. If I don't 9 out of 10 times the game places me in the middle of a losing match with no hope of making a comeback. * I mean I really appreciate Bungie thinking I can make PVP miracles. How am I supposed to make a comeback when I am placed into a match behind with 30 seconds left though lol

Same goes for gambit if you don't quit manually after each match. You will be forced to play with same people, only difference is will they play in your team or opponent.
-
"We're breaking up those teams to find a better match"... continues to play with the same teams on the same maps, and game types for another 3/4 matches.
-
I'm pretty sure in Bungo's eyes "breaking up teams" means taking the player that's on the bottom of the other team and putting them in your team and taking a top player from your team and putting them on the other team. I mean, it's brilliant really. The teams are now different, right? So it should be a better game.

This actually explains alot. "Breaking up teams" when you get loaded into a game there is a chance you are loaded into a match that is beeing broken up so if a team smashed other team those players would be loaded into a teams of blueberries in their next match Which means they will get smashed on and algorithm has to "break up those teams" again essentially creating a loop of sht game matches where none of the teams are well matched.

I found the 2 games you are talking about in your history. Got stomped by a team, you had 0 kills (probably joined very last second) Since the team you just joined got smashed and you were given a free L, they decided to put you against half of the team you just joined to give you a chance to stomp them as well for failing you. That failed for you unfortunately, try again.

Mostly happens to me when I'm paired up with them, hoping in the next match, I'd be paired with them again. But nope, the game doesn't want that xD
