Am I the only one not excited for Strand?
Doesn’t look like my type of thing, at all. Happy for people who are excited for it, but this is the first expansion I’ve not been hyped about. The concept and supers and abilities don’t look fun to me. I think a lot of players have been asking for more gun-based gameplay, but that’s not what we’re getting. All of the trailers heavily focus on whacky abilities. I get that Destiny has always been about space magic but this is a bit much. I can’t imagine what desync we are going to experience in PVP.

All enemies are buffed and tough to stagger, do more damage and we are weaker up close than ever so wtf ia a melee based build supposed to do in this game then? Why do they even exist if this is how you're doing things?

I hate how they keep showing/mentioning grappling hook (nade) but not the others. Also not a single pvp clip of strand.

Well, look how successful Stasis was when it was introduced. It was a flop in my eyes. Caused most people to rage quit Crucible and was too strong on first release. Then came the nerf to stasis and no one used it much anymore. Will Strand be the same as this model? Most likely.. When I've had a chance to explore it real time, then I'll make a call if I will use it or not. I've been using Warlock and Solar / Void Subclasses the last 4+ seasons anyway.

Im more exited to patrol the destination to be honest. Strand is just a green fist of havoc for titans and a green blade barrage for warlocks. Seems only the hunters are getting a legitimate new roaming super with unique animations. I cant judge the neutral game yet for the classes, warlock one actually looks insane, hunter as usual looks OP and titans? Well they have 3 melee charges (sorry titans). No lie titans got it pretty bad, I don’t even play titan and I feel bad for titan players. Also its about time bungie buffs behemoth, im tired of seeing arc titans everywhere.

Strand itself just doesn’t feel like a “darkness subclass” in my opinion. Everybody was expecting “vapor/corruption” and that just screams sci-fi fantasy dark powers. Plus, after seeing the concept art for the strand titan mini gun, Berserker is so lame in comparison. Cosmic webs are an interesting idea and all, but having another melee subclass is wasted potential and everybody knows it. Not much hype for me, but I’m hoping to be proven wrong in a week. Also, nobody seems to be talking about this much anymore but didn’t strand titan have a spin attack? It hasn’t been mentioned at all since the initial Lightfall reveal stream, and I’m starting to think it’s been scrapped.

I was actually kinda disappointed because I was hoping for what was speculated, Corruption/Vapor. Who knows though, maybe I'll end up loving it.

You can't expect everyone to like and enjoy every concept Bungie puts on the table for the game. Reguarding PvP, I'm pretty sure Strand is gonna bring some problems at the beginning. Probably not as Stasis since there's no risk to be completely frozen, just slowed down, but still... first days are going to be a period of transition.

You are not alone. If I want rapid movement then I play Warframe. I will buy LF but only because I want to do the raid. The story doesn’t interest me so I have no desire to play the campaign to unlock Strand. I have to buy LF for the raid and dungeons.
