I actually used to play hardcore Destiny, but now I’ve turned casual. So have many others
I’m willing to bet this.
The reason is that it’s too demanding “to keep your light up”. So whatever they are changing rn is for a smaller crowd than there used to be. This might have been good a few years ago but i just can’t see myself committing to a hardcore approach when I haven’t even wanted to play hardcore for a few years now.

Yep, time to finally throw in the towel. I haven't felt like I've had a healthy relationship with this game in years and now that it's just going to be even harder for the same crap I'm out. A lot of people can't handle the content as it is now, so MM activities are going to a nightmare. Getting my $100 back, the direction is absolutely not sounding more fun.

I’m at the point where I just want to see how the story ends. So I’m not going to buy this expansion. I’ll just wait till someone posts cut scenes on YouTube.

1 commentaireNah, you right. In the same boat. Reading through any of the new changes has turned me off more and more from the game. Almost makes luke smith seem like a saint sometimes lol (outside of sunsetting, f that system) We always gave that guy -blam!- but what the new clowns are doing isn't better in any way. Atleast Luke had a good run with directing the game before he went the world of warcraft route. The new higher ups tho? Not seen a single good change FOR the players in years outside of maybe transmog. And then again, that system was overdue and every single mmo had it 20 years before destiny so no props for that either lol.

Seems like they're just ignoring the fact that Strikes have literally no identity anymore loot wise it's just old guns we already had around 3 times but updated with one single perk. Warden and Corrupted actually had something until Horror Least became Adept and the Handcannon being useless. Wouldn't hurt for Strike Exclusive loot but seems they only care about filling Collections with 4 Hung Jury's, 3 Wendigos, 3 Buzzards, 4 SWARMS aka guns we already had.

Yeah would have been a better approach when the game was peaked around the year after Forsaken. At this point, nobody with an actual life will enjoy the game as much.

1 commentaireKind of in the same boat. Used to play destiny non-stop. Introduction of champions started to kill the enjoyment for me. I just don’t like having to use specific weapons and subclasses.

I have thousands of hours in and my tracker shows nearly 2 million add kills. All these changes blatantly designed to just make you move slower and restrict what you can play with are a tremendous turn off. Champions were bad enough, and Bungie just can't get their hands off you and let you play the way you want to. Additionally it feels like they're trying to fluff a very tiny minority of players with many of these changes. If that's who they're counting on to keep Destiny alive then good luck with that -blam!-.

2 commentairesSame, started in D1 & did everything, raids, trials, max grimoire etc. Started peacing out during wrath, the 1st real time they reskinned that I noticed, gunsmith guns as raid loot, nah. Played still but struggled with incentives to play. Fell off more & more until I found an incentive, hit season level 1000, and hit max pinnacle cap. So I log on, do bounties, get off. They've removed that now, rank 1000 & powerfuls/pinnacles, & wiry making everything more tedious I genuinely think I may stop playing this year. I've bought lightfall & I got deluxe half price, so I'll do the campaign & see how we go but season 21 looks like a game i don't want to play anymore

2 commentairesThey're slowly getting rid of power level. Literally the reason you gave for it being too demanding is what they're aiming to address, while ALSO making the game more difficult. By season 21, we probably won't need to grind light.

Agreed, I used to put so many hours into Destiny but they decided to make the game not as fun so my playtime has gone down.
