When I first found out about the grappling hook, I assumed we’d be quite limited in how we could use it. Since then, it’s become clear that it has the potential to affect movement throughout the entire game in some really exciting ways. For me, it’s by far the most interesting aspect of Strand.
So how long do you think the excitement will last? Are we looking at a fun gimmick or a new identity for movement in this game? If it’s incredibly popular, maybe a grappling ability will have to be added to other subclasses. I know, I know, I’m getting ahead of myself, but if it plays as good as it looks, it’s going to be hard to go back to regular movement.

1 commentaireIn crucible it could be game changer and pve will just be a gimmick thing to mess around with.

2 commentairesGame changer. Especially because the grapple melee spreads unravel...which is like jolt that jolts everything it spreads to as well.

1 commentaireIt'll be "game changer" for a week then it'll be a "gimmick" after that. If not, it'll definitely get nerfed. Everything gets nerfed sooner or later, this will be no different.

11 commentairesIt makes me reminisce about the days of my youth playing Bionic Commando. The original Nintendo one, although I also played the one on Ps3. If done right, it could be awesome, but I suspect that within a month or so people will be clamoring for it to be nerfed to s**t. Pessimism isn't usually my style, but I'd still give it a HIGH probability.
