2 commentairesIsn’t destiny pretty much already a subscription model?
-
Well if you could subscribe for a month and play the expansion and the year of seasonal content it wouldn’t be so bad. Let’s face it the expansion and the entir years seasonal content is about a months worth maybe 2 due to some of the filler IE strike grind for catalyst.
-
Really depends on the model they go with. FF14 which they charge for monthly and dlc(but offers a ton of content) OR DCUO which give all dlc free and if you let it expire you have to pay for the dlc or the sub.

2 commentaires*You must purchase “Destiny 2: Lightfall Annual Subscription” to view this post

7 commentairesDestiny isn’t good enough to ask for a subscription
-
I would subscribe monthly but it needs to include stuff

1 commentaireI can assure you the leaks aren't real. We already pay a yearly fee for the DLC, there'd be no reason to switch to a sub model after eight years.
-
2 commentaires
I hope thise leaks aren’t real
Of course it’s for real and you want to know why they will be successful? It’s because suckers like me and you keep giving them money. I haven’t ordered the expansion and I won’t be paying for a sub

20 commentairesI remember back in the day dlc’s were only $20 dollars.

2 commentairesWhat would a subscription change? You do realize that we are already paying a monthly fee which is the same amount of a netflix sub right? 100 bucks per year upfront every single year for the DLC + seasons = $8,33 per month. People just rather eat a pre-payment up than HAVING to pay monthly (including me). All that would (will) lead to is even less people playing the game. They will want their 100 bucks they already milk from us annualy, their full blown free to play microtransaction store will still be the main focus and people will have to pay 12 bucks monthly on top to play. That's how they will sell us "more" content. Even Blizzard isn't that brazen with world of warcraft. Like 900 mounts are obtainable in game (all the desirable ones aswell) meanwhile theres like 15 mounts in the store. That's a healthy distribution. Can we say the same about Bungie? lol... Bungie has been scamming us forever now. A subscription is just the next step that's obviously gonna happen unless they let the game die before cause their other games are finished in development.

If they are, they'll need to improve everything substantially. I'm talking every vendor being able to focus, improving incentives for Trials loot, dedicated servers, the ability to turn off crossplay and actually find matches, no more contacting destiny 2, no more phoned in seasonal content that does nothing to really drive the story forward. They need to improve tenfold. I don't see it happening.
-
2 commentairesI’ll pay it if the reason for a subscription service is to fund dedicated servers.
-
-
Just don't subscribe if you don't like it 👍
-
If they ditch the seasonal model I’m all about it, probably won’t though.
-
It honestly depends on what the subscription is for. If it’s for like free eververse items (for example a ornament every day or something like that) I’m fine with it but if it’s downright required for new dlc/ won’t come with deluxe edition of dlc then this game will crash and burn
-
where did you see this "leak"
-
It already is for a lot of people because of the deluxe editions
-
5 commentairesWell, it would be easy excuse for me to stop playing Destiny once and for all.
-
This would push me away
-
That will LITERALLY kill the game

2 commentairesModifié par livin like larry : 12/25/2022 10:12:34 PMAs things are currently, it wouldn’t work. Destiny’s content isn’t good/consistent enough to warrant a subscription. There is little vision or creativity that exists, but lots of reusing of assets/reskins. A lot of games do this, but I feel like Bungie sometimes takes reskins to an extreme. Things could change yes, but we’ll see.
-
it's an especially bad idea because I am pretty sure bungie would just add it on top of all the other forms of monetization rather than replace one.
-
8 commentairesI was the one to suggest it to Bungie since years. Glad they took my idea. This will be better for everyone. Point of a subscription is to allow everyone access to the same content at different times, instead of how it is now. In other words, players can enjoy the content at their pace, according to their agenda, not Bungie’s, not no lifers/streamers’. However, tbh, it takes me 5 to 15 min to set up anything in the game right now, every screen takes minutes to load, every build adjustment, loading into tower, matchmaking and loading into anything is SSSSSSOOOOOOOOO BBBBBAAAAADDD right now that I don’t even understand how is it legal for such a product to be sold, and how can Sony not be accountable for allowing such a broken game (unless one is using a quantum computer to run a 25y old engine), to be sold on their platform.

1 commentaireIf it comes with more content and more often then I’m all for it. In the current situation it’s a hard pass.
