Hey, there's one thing that no one, and I mean NO ONE can say about that ending, and it's that they saw it coming.
Unless you count the people who saw the leaked cinematic like 2 weeks ago...

Yeah because it's poorly written. You don't get points for doing something unexpected when it's unexpectedly bad. Would have been better to be more predictable but make some sense then be completely out of left field and contrary to all the lore and story buildup up to this point...

I agree, but it wasn't THAT out of left field. We knew Osiris was in a coma and he had to wake up at some point. We knew that some ritual was going to be performed with Nezarec's Silence of the Lambs body parts, and I'm pretty sure we knew what was going to happen when Saint and Osiris met again. To me it wasn't really predictable, but not that far-fetched either.

Everything about the process that it happened in was and seemed to contradict quite a bit of previously established lore. From my understanding anyways... I've played since launch day of Destiny 1 and the lore/story is one of the main reasons I have continually played. I read almost all of the offline grimoire in D1 and almost all the lore in D2. I've seen both Myelin and BYF (who are also lore nerds) have made videos expressing disappointment and confusion with this current story development. I have praised them alot (Bungie) over the years for the story but Im going to be honest when they don't do a good job. It's fine if you like it, it seems alot of people are happy to defend Bungie even when they make obviously poor decisions with their game but I'm giving my honest personal feedback and I'm not the only one who feels this way. Also I have zero issues with the Saint and Osiris kiss that was totally expected, you will notice none of my criticism has anything to do with that.
