As of right now, Brigs are annoying to fight. They do not have any crit spots to hit before they hit around 1/3 of health. Fighting something like that in higher end content is just a slog with Primary DPS, or a ammo sink for your special or heavy weapon.
My idea to change the brig comes from Scourge of the past. Put the shield generator spots from insurrection prime on the brigs in order to open up their crit spot for a short time. This might not bring them to the complexity of fighting a hive guardian, but it’s better than being an ammo sink.

In other news: Throwing knives against vex still dont crit.

We should be able to shoot off their guns like we can with the spider tanks

1 commentaireI disagree. They fit a specific roll that Bungie needs to invest in which is challenging foes that aren’t champions. Even if they’re just annoying that’s better than “put on this specific mod”. Hive Lightbearers, Wyverns, Brigs(hopefully stasis fallen soon), and soon to be Cabal Tormenters are a good way to keep enemies from meaning something of a challenge that isn’t a boss and isn’t just another ad.

I'd rather go for slow body shot kills than fighting a vertical Walker. The brigs are meant to be "tough mech that goes on an all-or-nothing rampage when critically wounded".

1 commentaireWhat you are asking for is a decrease in health because not having crit is just apart of its overall health. Use Xenophage if it is that big of a deal that you aren't seeing yellow numbers instead of white cause Xeno doesn't have yellow numbers and you can cry less cause you know you are missing out in exchange for higher body damage shots. Or just get over it. Brigs are uncommon and perfectly fine.

Stasis works well against them. But yeah, they are obnoxious

I run starfire solar lock with basically infinite fusion grenades, brigs get absolutely melted. seems explosive damage hurts them more before their crit is open.

4 commentairesThis man knows not the fear a D1 Ultra Phalanx could instill upon us guardians. There was no stupidly placed crit on the shield. This Phalanx knew how to use it's shield so darn effectively yah could barely shoot it's arm sticking out the side. It would walk you down in endgame content and you were screwed 7 ways to Sunday

I think they need a stomp attack radius nerf as it is ridiculous, and perhaps add an actual crit spot on them besides their weak spot when they're down almost 3/4 of their health. Body shot damage in Destiny has always sucked and shooting these guys on harder difficulties is a pain.

Another issue with Brigs is how when you do expose their crit spot the rest of their body gains a 60% dr resistance to any weapon capable of hitting crits.

2 commentairesWhat do you do when an enemy doesn't have a crit spot? Use a weapon that doesn't do crit damage! Hello Xenophage. I'm more annoyed that the Beyond Light title requires me to kill 50 of them in public events while in a fireteam.

I never thought about it before, but you have a valid point here. The game is obviously designed around prioritizing landing crits. Most guns rely on landing their precision shots to do their intended dps. Shanks don't have a crit spot, but it's always been ok since they weren't tanky. However, introducing one of the most tanky enemy types ever and not giving them a crit from the beginning spot feels like it's against the game's design.
