Are people actually buying synthweaves?
I'm not here to tell you how to spend your money, but I just want you to understand one thing,
That's why we only get 10 per season.
Get it?
It's not, "well, I have to spend $10 bucks and buy 'em because we only get 10 per season".
It's "We only get ten per season, because people are willing to spend $10 for more".

1 commentaireDestiny armor is so ugly I have enough to transmorph majority of the stuff and still have enough for more. I rarely use my weaves, destiny armor is disgusting. I grind out the 10 we get each season and then I never use them, bungie needs to up their game because the armor they make, at least for warlocks are rarely worth my time.

Modifié par PS1 Hagrid : 10/5/2022 8:27:51 AMI much rather buy a pack that includes past armor I haven't gotten yet then buy synthweaves. That's my take on the whole synthweave thing. At least it isn't as bad as Genshin Impact though, selling a single cosmetic skin at nearly the same price as a fulll game.
-
Almost all rpgs/mmo’s that offer transmog don’t limit it or have paid aspects to doing it. I like destiny and Bungie but it’s on them for choosing to monetise it. Yeh t shouldn’t even be a system or mechanic - should just be an option for all like most games that implement. Some of Bungie’s monetisation is predatory and unwarranted and this is one of them.
-
So people willing to spend their money the way they want is somehow causing trouble to you. I mean have you tried getting richer?
-
1 commentaireI buy probably 40 a season
-
I dont even grind them from Ada, there isnt enough decent looking armor to warrant it imo

16 commentairesAnyone who says "it's just money, lolz" or "I'll spend my money on whatever cosmetics I want, lolz" is the reason why microtransactions are becoming the new revenue model for the video game industry. Instead of players gripping tighter to their wallets, they are actively being separated from them. And many players will allow this gladly with a smile on their face. I guess there really is a sucker born every minute.
-
Nope wont ever.
-
I don’t personally know anyone who does since they’re so easy to get and people hardly use them anyway. I never understood the controversy with them because of how easy the little bounties were.
-
I absolutely refuse to buy them. Transmog should be a standard part of the game...full stop. I have no issues with the bounties from Ada-1. For example when I'm just not in the mood to do Nightfalls the bounties give me a little more incentive to do so. What I take huge issue with is that I'm limited to 10 bounties a season per character. The way Bungie has implemented this transmog system is only going to do more harm than good in the long run. Transmog shouldn't be limited or locked behind a paywall...that's the complete opposite of fun.

Bungie keeps sunsetting Armor and Weapons. Armor and Weapons we like. Now instead of actually designing new items Bungie depreciates “old items” so they can release new items. Because of this synthweave is the only way we players can hang onto our gear we earned and unlocked. So the people who do buy synthweave are just enabling this greedy practice. I mean for the love of Osiris Eververse sells Destination Armor from deleted planets AS LUXURY DLC ITEMS. That’s just the icing on the money tunnel vision cake. Folks running around with Titan and IO bounty armor they paid $20 USD for. Peak Corruption.

I have no idea what that even does. If it's just cosmetic, I couldn't care less

3 commentairesI view micro transactions like this: If the actual game is free I’m fine with them, they have to make money some how. If the game is paid for like Destiny then do not spend any extra money AT ALL. It’s just cosmetics, if you don’t buy them they would get rid of the store. The ship has long sailed on this though, too many ppl with the “must have this exclusive thing now” attitude willing to pay. If either free or paid game introduces pay to win things then immediately leave the game and never look back. All studios/ publishers need to learn this means suicide for their game.

3 commentairesModifié par Kouz_MC : 10/3/2022 9:25:51 AMNah mate, you’re doing this to yourself. I have 15 in stock for each character, never complete these bounties since ages, because, you know: 90% of the ornaments are ugly AF, and the 10% have been unlocked ages ago. Dreaming of super black, god of war, and any of D1’s ornaments over D2´s horrible, tasteless cosmetics.
-
I bought some when I got back into the game since there was a lot of stuff I wanted to unlock. But nowadays 10 a season is enough for me
-
-
1 commentaireWhat does it matter? There are barely any armor pieces worth unlocking anyway.
-
1 commentaireThe bounties complete themselves just by playing the game. So I guess the only reason to buy would be if you want more than the allowed cap. I personally have never run out each season. In fact I have turned items into ornaments just to be able to cash in more synth or whatever it's called. 🤷🏻♂️
-
2 commentairesI bought some primarily because I ran out of them and I like to dress up.
-
10 per season per pg is a lot, i don't remember the last time i did a synthweaves bounty , outside when you are forced for ironbanner is rare to use them
-
1 commentaireTime > money

2 commentairesI bought weaves once. I think they were on sale. It was the first season they were out I think. My mentality was simply that I wanted a few more options for my Titan, and financially it wasn’t going to burden me. However, I would never suggest to someone to buy something that is “just cosmetic” if it were an issue money wise.
-
I have not even bothered to grind the free ones, ever. This implementation of transmog is so blatantly disrespectful.
-
I'll finish transmog in 13 years, they already get a ton of money from me for expansions that have no content

Modifié par The icon of sin : 10/3/2022 7:30:02 AMThere isnt enough good looking armour to transmog. (Most of it are d1 armour sets that are worth it) But even if you want everything, a person that has been playing non stop since day1 it would take around 10years to unlock it all or 2500euro. (Math could be off)
