Stop nerfing PVE loadouts, mental health awareness

You think a company like bungie would reward players and encourage players to push loadouts to the limit and do what you are supposed to do on a mmorpg. But no bungie arbitrarily nerfs any slightly overpowered loadout to the point where content is unnecessarily hard. Each season, players should be encouraged to find and enjoy the most overpowered load outs which should then be nerfed at the end of a season to open up the door for new loadouts and builds. Why would a company actively seek to make our lives harder as fans of a game. This is no different than Rockstar games emptying players bank accounts bc players on gta are making too much money too quickly. When will bungie realize players actually want to feel overpowered in pve content, not to mention how many dungeons have optional challenges for solo flawless?? Bungie I have a family I want to see, I have friends that I want to see, stop demanding I spend any extra unnecessary time grinding a nightfall or dungeon which I could be spending with my loved ones once I finish. If I could finish a nightfall in 10 minutes instead of 19-20 minutes then hands down I’ll do it 10 minutes so I can actually step outside and enjoy the one life I have. For a company that has taken no stance on supporting mental health awareness, I am not surprised this is the same company that makes you play 9-12 hours of destiny a week just to stay caught up on the endless grind.

  • OP: all good points until one reads the last two paragraphs; this is the point where confusion begins as to your inner thought processes?!? 1. Family first. 2. Destiny for a bit of downtime, when opportunity strikes. 3. Other games - try them, there’s lots of them, eg, Quake 4 / WarFrame / etc. 4. OCD / addictive personality - all gamers are on that scale, which is why we grind the hamster wheel, again and again and again… once one accepts that premise, one can then apply the most powerful tool in one’s arsenal, ie, the power to say ‘Enough!’ and switch from fantasy (gamer) mode to reality (IRL) mode. Try it…it works every time! Ease springs, Guardian, and take care of the really important stuff - your health and well-being, and your family’s too. 👍 And, if things are beginning to overwhelm, reach out to a trusted source - family member and/or friend, to talk about it, and maybe, if you even think about it getting to a ‘I can’t handle it anymore’ stage, speak to your trusted physician or other medically trained and qualified professional. No one’s going to laugh at you, because to take such steps requires real courage!! The reality is that people will recognise your bravery in taking that next step…so, be brave, good luck, and carry on. Chin up, Guardian. 🫡 Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA 👈
