What happened to Oryx’s body?
I know he’s dead but I’ve always wondered why we never saw him disintegrate like all the other enemies we’ve killed. He just floats away. And I wonder if someone scooped his body.

In Bungie storage with all the other D1 content they haven't brought back yet. Don't worry, he'll be dusted off and brought back as part of future paid content.

15 commentairesThere may have been plans to bring him back, back during D1 when they weren’t sure how the story would play out. Doubtful they will now. We don’t kill Savathun in WQ. Which means across Lightfall and whatever last DLC there is, we are killing Sava and Xivu plus whatever Darkness baddies and Winnower. So too many it baddies to go through to toss Oryx in the mix.

I feel if I remember correctly he died in the Ascendant Plane. Isn’t that a final death for Hive? Even if he got recovered, he’s gotta be dead, right?

Look what happened to Xol, a weak worm god, when he got defeated on Mars. His body just poofed/turned to nothingness, like Thanos in Endgame, but his soul endured & he became a weapon. Touch Of Malice still has a remnant of Oryx's soul. Will we ever see the big fella again? Probably yes, like Taniks.

In all likelihood he fell into Saturn. No Hive magic is gonna recover him from there.

He's Dead in his Throne World, and he kept his Oversoul inside of him. So....the Reaction would be different.

Floated towards saturn, probably pulled into saturn itself and due to the tectonic forces, he is probably dust mixed inro saturn or crushed into a extremely small size in Saturn's centre. Either way, his body gone.

Some say he’s still floating around out there to this day…. But that’s just a gaaaammmeee theory couldn’t resist sorry man 😂 cheers
