Crucible is not fun
This just isn’t fun. Idk what is going on but I keep getting paired with 6.5 kds and spawn killed by supers.
I’m a middle aged guy with arthritis in his hands. I just want to have a good time. If I’m not supposed to be playing this side of the game just tell me Bungie.

2 commentairesHey Bud I'm with you and so are the majority. I'm coming up on 60 and I am at the point of opting out. I have had nothing but passion for the game but Bungie is doing everything they can to kill the game for me. The majority of the player base use the game for entertainment but Bungie listens to the minority of players that use the game for self worth. PVP has been in the trash can for a long time and the garbage truck is in sight.

It all lies on the sandbox/PVP team and their management. They are not good at what they do. The product speaks for itself.

65 commentairesSBMM is needed. Until it’s implemented, the PvP population will continue to decline, because no one enjoys being fodder for the sweaties. Even if they made just one single mode that was SBMM, I’d play that stuff non stop. But nowadays I won’t touch it for the same reason as original poster.

1 commentaireAgreed. There's no semblance of matchmaking at all. It's all "CBMM", with mediocre connections. Plus you have cheaters and modded controllers to deal with. It's just pure frustration for the average player, like me. And, on top of it all, there isn't any real incentive to play PvP. Only Trials actually rewards you for your time. For everyone else, you get 24 blue drops for 12 matches. That's Bugnie's crazy idea of "rewards". A bunch of sh*t loot that you get to dismantle ONE AT A TIME.

You spawn on a small map, you start capping A, one enemy decides that he's gonna try and get you all on the point before you finish capping. Heavy spawns a minute in, you start shooting someone. You die to his rocket launcher. Enemy team caps A and B, you are forced to your spawn and get farmed. Super train starts. Heavy spawns again. You get mercied 80-20 "We are breaking up those teams to find a better match" Joins another game with the same people.

Continuing to play on these janky -blam!- shitty small maps for another 6 months is not gonna help. They act like we haven’t been doing this for the last couple years lol and expect us to keep doing it

I try to play it long enough to get the Bright Dust and the Ascendant Shard. I haven't enjoyed Crucible since Taken King. But they always somehow find a way to make me jump in.

Fully agree mate. Came back to the game after almost a year. Used to play crucible 6v6 all the time since the early days of Destiny 1. It literally has never been as bad as it is now. Especially solo queueing. I constantly get dropped into matches that are about to be mercied because solo players get matched up against 6-man fireteams. Maybe 1/10 matches I get a decent match in. If I'm lucky. Bungie can install all the anti cheat software in the world but who cares if they won’t even adjust their own matchmaking. I rather play 6v6 in a balanced match with one person cheating or lag switching than the bullcrap I have to play now.

Just played two matches solo in control. First match was on burnout, finished first but got mercied. Lucked out and was the only one with a +kd. Second was on anomaly where I lucked out and got teamed up with a clan of 5 where I got excited hoping to win. Nope, got mercied yet again finishing top of the team again. Sounds like fun, but match making needs reworked cause the way it is now needs major help.

They won't really answer you this. But I'm sure you have an idea by now what the answer is. I'll give you a hint. They don't care anymore. Matchmaking is having issues because crucible is suffering from lack of players. That's why crossplay has been implemented. But it seems that doesn't help either at the moment. I don't know if they'll fix matchmaking soon to make it a better experience for everyone. But crucible is like this now because of less and less people are playing the mode. Hence, matchmaking is a struggle if they limit it to certain things. If you ask my opinion, I call it like "Open Season" in hunting lingo. It's like free for all shoot as many as you can kinda thing. And they don't care, because the mode is dying anyway because of lack of players at a given time, and given day. Everyone is not playing at the same time. And when they do, there is no skill based matching. It's open season, so to speak.

I can pretty state that nothing in this game is fun anymore. The grind for materials kills off all the fun altogether. Not to mention the hunt and grind for all the catalysts. 400 playlists strikes, nightfalls or matches and then on top of that 700 KILLS! For one measly catalyst! GTFO!

It has its' moments, but overall the PVP playerbase is fairly skilled with the game mechanics. You either need a fireteam/friends to play with, or spend a lot of time analyzing the meta and practicing. Personally, I just hop in and have fun here and there and try to not sweat it. (lol)

I’d say crucible and gambit aren’t fun. I just swear and get upset in them. Endgame pvp very rarely.

It's a game for a bunch of pent up, incel, ADHD teenagers who equate their self worth to how miserable they can make everybody around them while this dumb developer lets them believe a game with one hit ability spam is "competitive" and bullying lesser players in CBMM makes you "good". You're in the wrong game homie, or at least the wrong part of this game.

Fix the lag and the rest is a cakewalk. The lag is from crossplay and the new update. Most people are terrible at pvp because destiny is for casuals, compared to a game like battlefield 4.

It’s the hunters and their stasis super that annoys me because the warlock or behemoth cant counter it no more oh and that bloody withering blade is the new spawn killer

Crucible is not a game mode to have Fun, i mean for some reason you have fun....only if you don't get butthurt...that's the secret, i play crucible everyday, games I get mercied, some game i play very well, but it's not fun like you guys want, even quick play it's a competitive mode YOU KILL OTHER PLAYERS, im sure they don't find it FUNNY when you kill them, the fun and good time you want is on Pve. Pvp the thrill of course is win and kill other guys, ONLY if you realize that sometimes youll not be in a good day and you will lose.
