When is Tether going to get some love?
I'm a nightstalker. I'll always be a nightstalker. I don't play it for the super (why would I). I play it for the neutral game. The improved radar and radar stealth, the invis, the dodge etc. It could be a great super with one simple tweak but now it's the worst super in the game.
It needs instant suppression. That's it. Why does Bungie think this is OP?
Why is it that a titan grenade can do it but my suppression-focused super can't?
If I hit a roaming super in the face with my shadow shot do they die or even get suppressed before they kill me? Nope.
If I shot it at the floor before they reach me does it grab them before they can kill me? God no.
Does my shadow shot go where I'm aiming? Nope. It shoots to the right for some reason causing it to miss or get stuck on walls or ceilings nowhere near what I'm aiming at.
Do I get damage mitigation while it throws me up in the air to be a target for everyone while my 3 second animation freezes me in place? Nope.
It's time Bungie. Fix Shadowshot. Give it instant suppression. Stop sticking to the ceiling right above me because the animation forces me to jump. Shoot it where it's aimed. That doesn't seem like a game-breaking buff to me considering the state we're in.

Like half the page is hunter buffs for the TWAB where basically they have neutered warlocks and Titans. Stasis buff Arc buffed Solar buffed Nerf: Spectral Well Bubble All super regeneration exotics so by Ursa By geomags Pretty big nerf to dawnblade The only arguable thing that got a nerf was spectral and its literally just brought in line what like a 3% decrease that goes back up when invisible? Okay shards got nerfed like the others also. (Forgot this) Sure okay people found well, bubble, and banner sheild easier to cheese gms... news flash easy modes gone now. So every hunter has gotten their wish.

It’s the only super in the game where I’ll see someone pop it and I’ll challenge them with a primary.. and win the fight.

106 commentairesGambit. Invasion. Entire team sitting in a Well of Radiance trying to melt the boss. From nearly half way across the map I hit the entire Fireteam with tether. I then body shot one of the team with one of the special round from Izanagi’s Burden. Team wipe. That’s why. Any more powerful than it is and it would be ridiculously OP in pvp.

I hate the extra long animation for pvp. I ran tether a shit ton my destiny career. That seems to F me the most is the extra long animation. Maybe as soon as that arrow leaves the bow it becomes a suppressor instead of until it lands on something.

One huge thing that makes trapper suck ass in PvP, the tether shows up on radar an pulses,(I guess that’s two) and you can see it clear as day through walls. You get rid of those two things, you might actually be able to use it as a trap.

I needs to "catch" players faster in PvP, but that's about it. Otherwise, I think it's in a pretty good spot with the fairly recent buffs to it.

I feel like if you direct hit someone it should be instant suppression but if you miss it should stay as is because the timer resets as soon as someone either shoots It to activate suppression or someone walks close to automatically suppress

I think tether seems decent but I do think both top and bottom need to add a damage reduction buff when coming out of shadow shot. I cant tell you how many times I've been gunned down before my tether even hits the target. Also spectral and blade barrage both need a pve buff.

It's been looked at so many times and it never has performed as expected. I figured, Bungie just couldn't do it instantaneously. Ok... Then along comes stasis insta-freeze. Someone's got some 'splaining to do... Bungie ?

5 commentairesI've said this before and will keep saying it! top tree is the trapper right? make it cast faster and last longer, anything killed while tethered creates a new [i][b]trap[/b][/i], on a fresh timer where they stood. bottom tree is the rapid hit one, its basically top tree gg, so why isn't it in first person? put the player in first person with the void bow. headshots kill, bodies require 2, super or no super. all shots spawn short range tethers as usual.

They have tried to make it better a couple times over the years. I can't see it getting better at suppressing unless they make its impact function like the first stasis ice pick. No "movement ability" should be able to defeat a direct hit from either tether or top tree landing a few meters away.
