One thing I want to make very clear from the beginning and that is I'm NOT saying it shouldn't have gotten nerfed.
I will explain my point of view on each specific nerf.
PVP
Cryoclasm - the nerf to cryoclasm makes sense in the pvp environment.
It was an insane burst of speed you could do in quick succession to gap close, run away, and easily shatter targets.
How the nerf affects it, is that with how synergistic the slide was with both the uppercut and glacier grenade, the extra time required to shatter hurts their efficiency, especially since the freeze timer was reduced.
Determined irrelevant to my argument.
Where I find issue with the change to how it activates, is that it goes terribly with the nerf to glacier grenade.
With a freeze duration only .10 of a second longer than the time it takes to wind up cryoclasm, the freeze slide combo no longer works and effectively limits how useful the actual shatter effect is...which is pretty much the only thing glacier grenade was useful for.
Shiver strike - again, I understand the reasoning behind what they targeted but it greatly affected the utility of the melee (changed from "made utility none").
It's weaker, slower, doesn't slow, and has lower knockback (adjustments to wording).
Incorrect
Essentially just a crappy shoulder charge

Irrelevant
The hunters shuriken still ricochets and slows targets from a distance, the warlocks still instantly freezes and is a projectile...the behemoth melee is essentially nothing that it was before which is honestly the biggest nerf stasis as a whole has received (because even with the warlocks melee ranged nerf it STILL froze...where as the titans melee does absolutely nothing it used to).
Glacial Quake - the nerf to the damage reduction and power attack freeze height make sense, but toning down the damage reduction and consistency of power attack is going to hurt it when paired with it overall being slower (cleaned up wording).
Summary of PVP - they recognized it was too fast and went a bit too far slowing it down.
It shatters worse, moves worse, and overall offers less utility.
Irrelevant
. . .than the other two stasis subclasses do more than ever, because that's what MADE behemoth good (the burst movement and shatter potential).
These changes carry over into pve, which it was already far behind the other two in terms of utility (adjusted wording).
PVE
Cryoclasm - the nerf doesn't effect it too much in pve, but it's burst shattering has been hurt by it requiring a sprint start up.
It's a shame, but whatever.
Shiverstrike - it was already pretty garbage in pve and they took away the only thing it offered that was valuable.
I don't need to explain it, anybody that's used behemoth knows the melee wasn't what you were using it for but it's now even worse.
Glacial quake - being a little squishier sucks and the melee being slower isn't very helpful either, but overall mostly unchanged because you were just spamming the slam anyways.
Summary of PVE - already pretty mid in pve compared to other titan subclasses and they hurt it's power overall.
Not really a reason to use it other than for it's super which has been the case since release.
Summary of all - not really much to say.
It was stripped of it's greatest functionality in pvp and limited it's already mid pve aspects further.
Slower, less efficient and to top it all off, they made the super worse.
Suggested changes
Cryoclasm - remove start up requirement, allow for 1 slide on a 3-4 second cooldown.
Allows for burst movement and shatter capabilities but not as bad as it was on release.
Shiverstrike - increase velocity to be faster but not the same as release.
This way it at least gives a burst in movement, just not one that let's you travel the map.
Increase pve base damage by 20%.
Glacial quake - with faster velocity on the shiverstrike, the current nerfs should actually be ok but we will see.
I understand the nerfs are new and so people are going to be quick to say "you haven't given it enough time" which would be the case if the weaknesses were not so apparent.
When you target the literal only thing it was used for, paired with the nerf to grenades...the titans stasis is a husk.
The absolute worst of the 3 in pve before the nerfs and only better in pvp because it offered the craziest mobility known to mankind.
So...yeah.
I also understand the people that hate stasis as well.
I didn't like being slowed, knocked into walls, frozen and ass blasted all day by people simply pushing a button...but I have never supported out right crippling a subclass that already functioned the least with the pain points of stasis.
It was a fast as hell subclass with more limited crowd control capabilities which ARE the most annoying aspects of stasis.
Do with my complaints that you will.
I hate fighting behemoth in pvp, but I really enjoyed using it for it's movement.
Now that it doesn't really...offer any of that, I don't think I'm going to bother anymore.

4 commentairesWe will deal with the nerf, it was inevitable since destiny players have a track record of crying until things are nerfed. What I’m excited about is going back to abusing shoulder charge with insurmountable. A combo way more powerful than behemoth.
-
1 commentaireAngry stasis Titan, good
-
2 commentairesThe posts were expected. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a big nerd person but I also stopped caring about pvp(which was all that kept me playing) due to stasis. I think you have the wrong idea. Using abilities in conjunction were never supposed to guarantee you winning a fight no matter what. The problem with stasis was zero skill gap plays being able to win fights with zero counter. If you look at other supers it’s rare that using abilities in conjunction guarantees winning a fight. Yes synergy exists such as hunter smoke and nade trapping people while they take damage. However stasis was over saturated with combination that cannot be countered. TLDR: stasis nerfs are nothing but a good thing. Let people who though they were good at pvp and are now realizing it was stasis doing all the work blow off some steam.

1 commentaireI say nerf behemoth more.
-
7 commentairesNo upvotes, makes sense lol behemoth was so broken, I'm glad it's finally in line with other classes. No more cryo ape crutch oh no :(
-
1 commentaireStasis was made so buff to sell Beyond light. Was only a matter of time till it got the nurff bat.
-
3 commentairesOnce again, PvP ruins PvE.
-
4 commentairesOh look, a stasis main getting mad. Cry me a river
-
Lmao, other classes didn’t stand a chance before because of the crybaby community got everything before it nerfed to shit. Maybe if y’all would stop crying a s -blam!- we’d actually have powerful light and dark subclasses
-
Melee feels rough. Feels like slow mo. What I really don't like is that Cryoclasm now feels like a necessity to make the super feel good in PvE. Without it the melee just doesn't have the speed to hit all the targets you freeze with a slam.
-
1 commentaireWell, if you're a man and want to use stasis in pvp, find some weapons with surplus and sit on your abilities, take the neutral buffs from that and take the free stats. honestly the stat boosts on top of surplus buffs still make it more than worth using. Its just not absolutely bonkers broken anymore. They've done it to all of them. Novawarp for warlocks, obliterated. Void blades for hunters, taken down several notches. Now, behemoth. Join the club boyo. Everyone gets theirs eventually, at least you still get the free stats and absurdly long slide for your slideshot/opening shot SG aping. PS not a fan of nerfs in pve in any capacity, this is specifically relating to pvp.
-
1 commentaireIt needed to be nerfed. Stasis deserves to be nerfed. * popcorn emote *
-
27 commentairesNope deserved nerf. Still usable but not breaking the game. Sorry you don’t have your crutch anymore lol
-
1 commentaireNo more behemoth in pve because of pvp yeahahh Less variety in an already stale game
-
Thank the whining pvp community. Just another RIP thing of destiny because of them. Definitely just going to run into the enemy now so the matches end faster and I get my pinnacle and leave. Can't ever have fun in there. But guess what! The sweaty hc, snipers and shotguns reign supreme again.
-
PvP, it was really brought in line with the rest of useless light subclasses. PvE, you done -blam!-ed up 😒
-
I’m ok with the changes but kinda a bit sad how hard the behemoth titan melee got hit. But unlike most people on here I’ll just accept the hand I’ve been dealt and move on. After all it doesn’t matter what sub class I play I’m still gonna smack people around while they cradle their precious shotgun. Now they can scramble to find something else to blame as to why they keep dying. 😂

2 commentairesBehemoth had to be nerfed...for the greater good...
-
3 commentairesNo it's fine, it had waaaay too much mobility with zero drawbacks. Now you have to actually think about movement and positioning.
-
They got a little carried away with the behemoth changes. The only titan subclass with movement on par with hunters and dawn got both movement abilities neutered. Maybe Garrison actually is coming back.

19 commentairesModifié par Last Spartan : 6/3/2021 11:46:18 PMSorry man, but gonna keep it totally honest with you. Give, me, a, break. You've been exploiting this broken subclass for who knows how many months now, probably gloating to all the people you (wrongfully) demolished while using it in Cruci, and bagging everybody who was fruatrated with you for literally ruining the balance of the game and decimating the little competitiveness Cruci had left. Even though your performance while using Stasis wasn't an accurate reflection of your actual skill level, you were so obsessed with feeling dominant over others, that you fell to Darkness, literally... Now you want to come back here and protest the BALANCING? Not even "nerfs", the BALANCING....come on man. You serious?
-
Yeah....I'm ok with that.
-
Us Titan mains will adapt we got a lot of light options now. We got falling star, synthoceps with burning maul, and doom fang pauldron bottom tree sentinel.
-
The nerf to Cryoclasm really screwed over the synergy with Glacier Grenade and Stasis Crystal shattering in PvE. It sucks having to sprint before you can actually use it. Makes it feel slow and clunky if you throw a Glacier grenade at enemies while moving toward them. Seems like it's only usable with the Super now. I wish they could have at least added another Fragment slot to it or something so I could have an extra slot to equip Whisper of Rending.

2 commentairesThe one thing I don't like about the stasis nerf on titan is the slower animation speed. It needed an nerf badly. It was way to fast and good, but now it kinda looks like a warlock poppin' a rift ... Or floating in the air... Generally not a fan of those slowed animations ... The slide needs a tradeoff, its just too fast and covered too much ground. But I agree that with the reduced freeze time it makes it not practical. Don t know what the soulution would be, I think a cooldown won't cut it. Same Problem was with the warlock melee, yeah it freezes but it takes time to travel often resulting in a trade with shotguns and after you freeze them, if you have a slow handling weapon the might unfreeze before you can shoot them. Again I don t know the solution without making it OP again ... I feele like buffing light subclasses first would maybe have been the way to go before nuking stasis ...

9 commentairesAs soon as I read the TWAB last week I said that you will no longer see Behemoths at all in PvP, you already don’t see many Shadebinders and the only class worth using will be Revenant. I played three games to get my pinnacle and the only stasis I saw were hunters. This doesn’t really come as a surprise though, Bungie favours hunters in PvP and has done since D1 year 1. There has been a couple of short periods where a subclass or an exotic rises one of the others up but then the hunter tears come and Bungo rushes to their golden child’s aid and nerfs the offending class into oblivion. Bungie does not care about balance in PvP, they are very happy letting hunters be overpowered. I would remove PvP entirely!
