Instead of giving Light based subclasses the entire Darkness subclass treatment, Bungie should bring it more in line to what they had in Destiny 1 with a more "pick your own tree" layout, where the players were able to choose your own attributes to your tree rather than picking one premade tree.
Here's a link to the a fan-made wikipedia page on the Striker arc Subclass for Titan.

It goes over what Destiny 1 had for subclass customization, then goes over Destiny 2 subclass "customization"
Obviously if any of the attributes from Destiny 1 subclasses were rebuilt into Destiny 2 exotic armor, or is already included in one of the premade subclasses, then Bungie could come up with a new attribute. For example, one of the Tier 8 - Perks 2 options, is just the Destiny 1 version of MK44 Stand Asides, so Bungie could come up with a new perk option for that tier.
Also, Bungie could revamp the old system to be more in-line with Destiny 2 so its not completely just recycling content. For example, remove the options to increase stats, and instead, add that ability to some of the perk options like how the Stasis subclass does. Furthermore, this would be a great idea to add a third option for class abilities by giving them their own optional tree in the customization.
I will try working on a completed concept in Google Docs later.

1 commentaireThe aspect and fragment system is really good IMO. Better than the D1 subclass layout by a lot. The D1 subclass layout had only 2 columns with neutral bonuses to choose from. With the aspects/fragments, you get any two aspects, combos not limited by any columns, plus a few of the many fragments. If they do a good job of translating the light subclasses to the aspect/fragment system, I'll be really happy.

No. Fragments and aspects is the way it should be done.
