Most of this sounds like user error.
The way you improve in PvP is by [u]staying near your teammates[/u] and providing support fire. You will get kills and have chances to observe how enemy players operate.
Learn from your mistakes. Often times, we die because we overextend ourselves and try to lone wolf at a bad moment.
As you learn the alternate routes around maps, you will start to see when it's a good time to try and go for a flank with your super or a heavy weapon.

I would say that in a certain amount of the time you are correct, but imho, not all the time. I am very much open to learning but when your own clan mates, who are 1.5+ won't go near PvP unless they have to you know something is very wrong. I am very open to the idea that a lot of it is me and I need to get better, my lament is that it's very hard to get better in the current environment. That being said there have been some very good suggestions on how to improve in this thread so I am immensely happy that there has been such a good responce.
