Bungie doesn’t ban people for win trading, ive reported around 10 people using the annoying report system and they keep playing
-
They can't it has to do with the crap matchmaking.
-
Its not crap matchmaking its Destiny Matchmaking, Trials uses Card-Based matchmaking which is a good idea it has one fault just like SBMM and Connection Based Matchmaking have and its reliant on having large amounts of players in the mode. So when it cant find anyone on Win 1 for you to play with it moves up a Win and if it cant find anyone there it goes up again till it matches you with someone. Its not that Trials has bad matchmaking its just matchmaking in Destiny itself is broken and relies on stupid factors
-
Bungie clearly think its cheating otherwise they wouldn't have shut the mode down. Since they made the game...it is cheating
-
I just wonder if they care about the win trading or the fact you can not only change characters, but the entire team if you want to. Win trading has been going on forever... I think it was the other reasons and bungie is saying it is about the other.
-
Could be a bit of both. I think the level of win trading is probably what tipped it over though. On pc 50% of people who played trials went flawless and 69% of those had less than 5 kills for the week I think were the stats.
-
Bungie doesn’t care if people cheat. They care if people don’t want to hop on their loot hamster wheel. They just can’t have anything benefit the player
-
I think they do i just think they aren't very good at dealing with it. I also think that it is probably more to do with lining their pockets as opposed to the players experience which is what I'm guessing you probably think as well. I guess both of those go hand in hand though. I have watched a number of YouTube videos where different game developers watch people speedrun their games and its a fairly common theme they don't like watching people circumvent or bypass things. Obviously some devs will just leave stuff in and not try to patch it.
-
My issue is that they only act when the community is reaching its breaking point. I guarantee they never would have went after PerfectAim because they don’t care. People were rallying against cheaters for awhile until Bungie did something. If someone shoots a sniper at 1000rpm, who cares. Someone always has their super, who cares. Someone had played many flawless passages without ever facing a person, who cares. But the moment people find a way around something, they disable trials. Not for an influx of people using aim bots, wallhacks, infinite heavy or supers, but people coordinating throwing games for flawlesses. In regards to cheating, they have the resources. Bungie pulls in a ton of money and they will continue to do so why should they change anything. As for the speed running thing, it makes since. I was watching one of those about HL2 and someone said it took months to make a sequence that was ran through in about five minutes.
-
I don’t understand why the devs get so upset over those speed runs. Yes, they spent months and someone figured out a way to speed through it. That’s not necessarily an indictment of their capabilities. People play their games because it’s fun. Nobody is buying a game to NOT actually play it. If anything, the wackier and more convoluted requirements needed, the better

Kind of cheating
-
Definitely cheating
-
that's definitely cheating.

The fact you even need to ask how reaping the rewards by circumventing the entire gamemode is cheating blows my mind.
-
So playing heads or tails is cheating? Circumventing and cheating are different, they often meet but they aren’t mutually exclusive
-
So playing heads or tails is cheating? Circumventing and cheating are different, they often meet but they aren’t mutually exclusive
Wrong. Win trading is against Bungies ToS. End of Story.
-
It isn’t “end of story” because the solicitation of carries and recoveries is also against ToS. How many people have been banned for that I wonder.
-
Other people are murdering people so who cares if I punch someone in the face.
your logic
-
But that isn’t my logic. Who is negatively impacted? You can twist it any way you want, but win-trading is a bunch of people helping each other. If I were to get into a stacked team and reset my card after every win so I never progressed, that would be a lot more damaging to other people than win trading. The reason the problem exists is a lot more important than the problem itself.
-
Look I get it, you win trade. You justify it to yourself because nobody gets hurt. But you get things that you didn’t earn while other people are working hard trying to get them. Just because no one’s card is ruined does it mean that what you’re doing is not cheating. It is against the terms of service that you agree to when you play this game. It is a bannable offense. However you make sense of it to yourself that’s between you and your morality.
-
Modifié par Darth45789 : 3/1/2021 8:38:49 PMI don’t win trade, but nice try. As for getting things you didn’t earn, carries and recoveries exist. Both of those things by the way, if payed for, are against ToS as well. I don’t see Bungie going after lfcarry.com, do you? Just because it’s bannable, doesn’t mean you’ll be banned
-
I got a former clan mate banned for it. Filled out the form and sent it to Bungie. Maybe I’ll take a look at your history. Maybe if I see win trading I’ll fill out another form.
-
And when you don’t, what will you move to next I wonder
