Stasis is here to stay and that outright depresses me.

Stasis was fun for 5 minutes when it first got launched in PVE and rapidly became the bane of all life in PVP. The only positive thing to come out of it is aspects that help you create an actual build and hopefully that’s something that can be implemented for light supers as well. That’s a positive for sure. But stasis needs a firm reimagining and balancing for PvP activities...but Bungie will never do that. Stasis is far too new and is their only selling tool to get more New Light players in, whilst recycling old content that will inevitably become stale because we are getting to a point of basically playing D1 again. All whilst, what I assume, veterans leave the game cause they are tired of stasis and the lack of PvP support (vet community seems pretty vocal about this). I assume this is because they/we are tired of this horrendously poorly implemented new super that only feels like a marketing gimmick at this point, terrible sunsetting, and reissuing with no form of apology considering perfectly good rolled weapons that were sunset now have to be refarmed . And a blatant lack of any balancing throughout the archetypes (Arbalest needs either nerfed fully, or moves to the heavy slot, or hell. just remove it from the game). But with the introduction of new aspects to change things up. It’s very apparent that this is the current life of Destiny 2 for the foreseeable. And whilst I got the deluxe edition (which I vehemently regret now) I will continue to check out the seasons, but the burn out is far too real for me to enjoy this game in what little time I have. I have however been enjoying some aspects of endgame, but in spurts and I’ve always previously enjoyed PvP. But as soon as I’m frozen, then die. To then respawn only to die to another frozen ability I just put the controller down and turn destiny 2 off. It’s exhausting and I find it plain ignorant of Bungie to just implement this and cripple a whole game mode. It’s the worst addition to any PvP game mode I’ve never seen. And yes, I have jumped on the stasis bandwagon to at-least fight fire with fire and at try to accept it. But for me to pop super, only to get shatterdive’d to death...it makes me just want to uninstall D2. There could be suggestions of, light only PvP mode, stasis abilities not freezing - only supers doing that, longer ability cool downs, needs to stasis abilities altogether. But this is their cash cow and they won’t change it so quickly. It sucks to say it but it feels too frustrating to play. Regardless of how little care I try give it. And I don’t think I’m alone on this. I hope more will change soon. But it doesn’t look like anything will for this coming season, I am looking forward to some other games, Outrider for example. That may give me the break necessary to then come back and see where stasis is. But for the time being I find it incredibly difficult to have fun playing this game, and that’s the first time I’ve said that in the years I’ve been playing.
