This gun is almost exclusively the reason why my primary group of friends and trials team is incapable of winning against some teams.
It has a higher kill range than every other shotgun that isn’t a precision frame, perfect handling, and it’s the best.
My best alternative is seventh seraph cqc which regularly hits about 80% and gets me killed by low skill players using Felwinter’s.
No more community quest weapons.
No more time gated weapons that are not sunset.
This is dumb. It ruins the meta.
It’s near impossible to counter with quickdraw and opening shot. Close the gap speed is too quick for most fusion rifles to react. Snipers are snipers but in cqc, this gun is polarizing. I don’t have a perfect roll astral, and even if I did that bars me from using an exotic hand cannon.
Also, Bakris moves this gun from near impossible to counter, to impossible.

1 commentaireSo why aren’t you switching things up? Sounds like you’re playing cookie cutter style. Can’t not use an exotic hc? How come? If you aren’t adapting to challenges...yeah, you won’t win. That’s like the basic foundation to pvp. Adapt or get eaten.

1 commentaireI think the issue is you are trying to counter shotgun with shotgun. A shotgun secondary isn’t terrible and hell, I have a pretty damn good roll on a prophet of doom and it’s a damn good counter. But if you see all the felwinter apes running toward you at light speed, try switching up your approach.

Last Word can shut them down

Felwinters honestly isn't that pressing lol and once its sunsetted asteral, seventh seraph will take its place.
-
It is indeed Trials of Felwinter’s. Next season I’ll be able to get my hands on it. It doesn’t upset me, though. It’s a video game at the end of the day.
-
I will agree that felwinters can hit some stupid ranged 1taps every now and then but I would also like to point out that right now shot gunners are easier to deal with than ever before. I’m really not trying to be mean here but if you and your friends are blaming trials loses on a single weapon then you may want to reevaluate how good you guys actually are. Take a step back. Ask yourself how well your awareness and decision making was on that death. Should you have pushed there? Did you see that guy flanking on your radar? Maybe you could have back peddled an ape and just primaried him down? You’ll never improve if you don’t acknowledge your weaknesses.

3 commentairesI main a fusion and 99.999% of all my hatemail is from Handcannon/ Felwinters sweats crying about “no skill”, whatever that means

2 commentairesPvP isn’t meant to be taken seriously in Destiny. There’s too much bullshittery for anything to be legit.

37 commentairesYikes. It was a seasonal exclusive. A literal Had to be there kinda thing. Its not bungies fault, it's yours.
-
lmao felwinters apes are the easiest kills of my life
-
2 commentairesuse a fusion rifle and keep distance from corners, you'll catch nearly every shotgun ape in the open
-
You would have lost to whatever shotgun they used
-
1 commentaireRather fight felwinter all day over skilled sniper with a great rifle in hand
-
Don’t worry, it will be sun setting..... That weapon is pure bs cuz of range.
-
Came back a couple weeks after the Felwinters quest began. Had no idea. Haunts me every -blam!-ing day i play. 70% of my deaths i swear.

2 commentairesRadical thought: fck this games pvp.

1 commentaire120 hand cannons and felwinter i just don't want to play pvp anymore this is beyond stupidity

Modifié par Wes : 12/28/2020 3:41:25 PMWell let's look at it this way: Is there an alternative energy high impact shotty? No. Is there a farmable kinetic high impact shotty you can get prior to Trials? No. Are any of the top primaries even in the energy slot? Nope. All kinetic. And why is the answer to all these questions the same? Because Bungie had a terrible interpretation of sunsetting and then didn't add enough quality loot. So even if Felwinter's was an average high impact, people would still use it like crazy simply because it is the only option.

4 commentairesDude trials is overrated. Why out yourself through that for such shitty guns. Adepts are a total joke too.
-
10 commentairesBe careful. These forums are absolutely filled with those who only want Felwinters for themselves. They’re terrified of anyone else getting their hands on it. Personally I think it should be absolutely nerfed into the ground. CQC acts exactly how a shotgun should and it’s balanced. Nerf Crimson too while they’re at it. Just my 2 cents. Apes won’t like it lol
-
Trials of Osiris isn’t worth playing anyways so why waste your time? Cheaters and sweats every match, hours of stress and shitty loot do not appeal to me. Also there’s just the poor net code, melee hit registration issues and other bs that become even more glaring in trials.

Players with lower skill can’t get shotgun kills against higher skilled players who are prepared to deal with shotgun users. It’s that simple. Blaming your deaths on the gun instead of your own play can’t help you.
-
Close the gap speed is too quick for most fusion rifles to react.
And there’s the Rub. You’re getting outplayed because you don’t know how to precharge your Hitscan weapon. YOUre letting them close the gap because YOU and your team isn’t rotating. This is a You problem. Same can be said with snipers. Snipers can be the most oppressive special in this game. Far worse than any Shotty. And I’ve got news for you. The skill gap of those OHK weapons flip the higher you get. Yes, in QP it’s easy to Shotty a bad player. It’s much harder to shotgun someone who punishes you for making a single mistake at close range. So sniping is a little easier because it’s easier to get a pick than to get into CQC position against 3 pros.

Shot package was removed in d1 and yet they brought it back exclusively for one gun. The only power light (and decent) shotgun I have this season is the seventh seraph. It consistently gets out performed and one hit passed it’s one hit kill range to the felwinter . It’s not whining, I have spent enough time in the crucible to know what is effective. It’s just the facts and they either need to sunset it or sell it to the masses. In fact they sold the gambit python yet didn’t sell the pvp counterpart or allow access to a weapon that’s accounting for between 15-20% of total crucible kills depending on map / mode?
