It also removes any incentive to upgrade weapons and armor. There's no point in putting materials into stuff that has an expiration date, which removes any reason to get the materials, which means there's no reason to play activities to get the materials. And if there's no reason to play the activities, then there's no reason to even play the game.

Wrong! If I find armour or weapons that do something I like the sound of, I will happily try them out. Sunsetting removes that choice. You are then forced to try new things, or fade into irrelevance.

No it is the point of sunsetting gear. It makes you get new gear every 9 months. The problem was player not trying new stuff unless it was more powerful than the old.

Again, wrong. Players didn't try new stuff because everything else was shit at the point of its inception. They had to start to start buffing stuff. Don't try to flaunt Bungie's failings as player stubbornness.

Yes and you can't just keep buffing stuff, that's power creep. It is partially the players fault, Bungies biggest fault is that infusion existed in the first place. If they hadn't been planning for a D3 gear only lasting a year would have been built into the game from the start.

I agree. Especially with armour. The time it takes to get the rolls on the armour is crazy. Also, the cost of master working armour is way too high for the limited time it can be used. Why sunset armour anyway? How is armour adding to power creep. It makes no sense.
