When that 1 year becomes 1 month you’ll be pretty upset that the gun you enjoy will be sunset and you need to grind out a new god roll (maybe your gun comes back with the exact same loot pool and just a new watermark like gnawing hunger)

I mean rolls have a year endgame shelf life. However it’s very unlikely you will get your roll on day 1, hence your roll will last less than a year. Then you do it all over again.

If they keep the stingy nature of what the core game offers as opposed to what the seasonal model is setup, then yes I agree.

Oh I expect them to. They could even get more stingy on things too. Of course there’s always a chance that they are more generous, but even then your gear is retired a year from release date, so you could get that loot drop way down the road, and barely get any playtime with it before it’s expiration date.

I know I am in the minority here but with our gear being on a limited time, I simply see no choice for them but to decrease on our: - Investment of materials into our gear - Acquisition of those materials - Gosh darn it burn the currant progression system into the ground As TWE once said we spend too much time levelling and upgrading, then we do being bad-asses. Honesty the currant state of the game only makes me want hunt down and acquire the rolls I desired, after that my body separate my mind kicked me by subconsciously making me; Hit xbox button, descend down to exit and click... I hope they do think about that stuff re investment and progression and adjust to suit the new system they are trying to go by. Because if they don’t, aside from the blatant copy/paste gear with no changes except light level number, and a few other thing, it will fail if they don’t get the system as a whole built upon that foundation. Thursday should hopefully give us more answers. I understand how you felt re the season. You can only honestly do the same 1 mission/pub event train for the season so many times before its like, is that literally it? Is that all the content that we spent money on? Especially with all seasons since Shadowkeep basically following that model, and tacking an obnoxiously long grind for seasonal materials to allow you to try and get the seasonal gear. It’s rather boring after a while. Even the dungeon this season’s really never piqued my interest for very long. Wasn’t really a big fan of it. Actually grounded gear on my warlock to try for solo runs of pit and prophecy, only just after getting just shy of the flawless solo on pit (stupid spinning spike trap got me as I was heading for the boss....) they announced sunsetting for everything, completely killing my drive to even try for the flawless runs. As for your weapons, I think I might have gotten less than you. Three of the god roll dark drinker sword (one for each character) three functional Gnawing hungers (probably good rolls, but I’m really not an auto guy), a couple of cold denial, and I believe that’s it. Couldn’t really figure out a good roll synergy for long ranged boltcaster 2.0, and never really could find a perk combination for the bow I liked. I have maybe a couple of weapons that are being sunset in the vault, but most of my gear is set to max at 1360. Only pieces I’m pissed at losing is my Proelium and my OG hunter sword. Only really did the haunted forest when they upped drop rates. Was done in 2 days, and just waited for them to drop Nokris to complete the season. Been doing the classic game thing in between. As a funny side note, I apologize for not responding sooner. Too many notifications I’m getting from other posts are pushing things out, so I don’t always see them, especially since I use mobile. I’m just glad to have some calm, rational discussions at this point.

I have had no friends interested in Destiny from Shadowkeep and beyond, so I have missed out on doing the raid and 2 dungeons. Basically, I can not muster the courage to solo dungeons like others. If matchmaking via Nightfall the Ordeal (Including its restrictive design) has taught me anything, is that I do not have fun with Randoms. Annoying because killing and scoring happen to be my two favourite things in Destiny (There is hope for exotics moving forward, with the armour mod inside the seed allowing exotic pulses to obtain Unstoppable rounds). I know this may sound strange but the deprecation and the restriction of the mods they mentioned... Excites me. The reason being they will no longer be designing content around such potent and expressly powerful mods and the hope they can be recycled and distributed into something more interesting. It is just waiting game now.

Unfortunately I do not have the players for raid runs, as I have been mostly a solo since Shadowkeep. I don’t regret being a solo, because the experience taught me to look at things in a different perspective re the game because up until then, I had always had players to run content with, since Day 1 of D1. Now I consider myself humbled by the hoops people have to go through to even go through the process to run content. Sometimes you just have to walk in someone else’s shoes, just to gain perspective. As for soloing the dungeons, believe me it’s no picnic. I’ve ran through it a few times on pit and can’t get past the first encounter boss on the other two dungeons. I guess the only thing that semi encouraged me to try them is the same reason I solo ran Croats end and D1 NFs. The challenge of doing so. But I’m not everyone, and playing alone gets very dull sometimes.... I have weapons I specifically got rolls for to run NFs with, and due to the stupid champion system, they went to waste. Literally cannot stand running NFs with restrictions in weapons I can use. With ordeals, I’ve mostly had positive experiences with random players, but I also personally don’t assume that they will be equipped with the gear necessary, or the gear to basically circumvent the champion stuff to overpower them. So I equip my gear with that in mind that I may have to just do everything. That said, there have been a few bad ones where people just rush forward to get things done and are just stupid about it. Nothing like running that strike on mars “garden world” running low on champion ammo, where your ordeal buddies rush headlong into champions, leaving you with no ammo to deal with them when you die. It is just waiting game now.[/quote] Oh I get where you come from on this, and quite honestly the mods should have always only worked in the raid they were from,like some D1 raid mods, and even the Leviathan mods. Unfortunately they didn’t do so, which felt like a bad decision. Am I glad they are going away? Yes and no. No in that I wasted my season obtaining the mods and gear to use them with, along with fully masterworking that gear, only to get hit with the sunsetting crap, really pissed me the F off. But yes because like I said, they really should have never operated mostly outside the raids they were associated with (armaments are a toss up one because we had versions of it in D1, but you weren’t guaranteed ammo, just a better shot at getting a brick). Plus I don’t need to maintain old armor sets after the season. So I totally understand exactly where you are coming from.

I remember hearing somewhere at sometime that D2 will be getting crossplay. Though it might ne late next year. I am going bed now so thanks for the talk.

If it takes you 10 months to acquire, you only get 2 months. You dont get a year from acquisition, you get 1 year from season start. I've only had Randy's Throwing knife for 5 months and its going away in 3 weeks. Unless you get your Godroll in the first week, you don't get 1 year
