any thoughts on what it would be if it got one? i think the explosion needs buffed big time, or maybe 3 shots to trigger it instead of 5? idk malfeasance is such a unique weapon but it doesn't feel that strong

give it an anarchy twist allowing you to tether the subject then you can pummel them some more or you can make a new exotic HC that does that

Just make it so if you get a kill with explosion damage it reloads the gun. Biggest issue with 180s is they literally take like 5s to reload.

It’s fantastic at what it’s designed for (single-target damage) and has several very good bonuses tacked on. My fireteam used it in Lake of Shadows Master NF recently and it killed the Champions faster than special weapons. It naturally does very high single-target damage to majors, does 30% extra damage to Taken, and stacks with other users for insane damage. If you care about Gambit, it does 60% extra damage to invaders. It’s EXACTLY what an exotic should be. It’s unique and powerful, but doesn’t break the game and outshine all other loadouts. And it CAN be nutty in certain situations. Casuals just think exotics have to OHK everything in sight, completely out-class everything else and cause enormous sandbox imbalance, and be a mandatory equip in any scenario. Then they cry when that weapon gets nerfed.

Possibly, a firefly like perk, but the explosion sends out more slugs, in an AoE style explosion, that react like Telesto bolts do. Basically turning a killed ad, in to a shrapnel bomb.

Giving it Vorpal Weapon would be pretty cool because it'd help even more against enemies using their super. Reducing the number of slugs needed for the explosion would also be cool (maybe from five to four, as five to three would be a bit much). There are so many creative ways to move forward with a catalyst for Malfeasance, and I really hope Bungie does something good with it.

However 4 wouldn’t be to bad. It would have a guaranteed 1.0 sec ttk for either body or crit. Not necessarily game breaking but forgiving enough to see game play. A buff in handling and aim assist would be helpful. But seeing as it’s a pve weapon I think the explosion buff or 4 shot activation would be good. Or even 20 rounds in the mag, rapid hit 4th times the charm or outlaw. However idk how outlaw would work with explosion kills. Explosion kills refill the mag would be really good.

I would love a malfeasance catalyst. That and thorn. I feel like next season would be a good time to bring in a malfeasance catalyst, yeah? Now that we focus on the drifter again... I don’t know it could make sense. Are there any other catalysts you’d really like to see or guns you love to use?

The game has had it in its database for over a year. But in typical Bungie fashion, it's being throttled. 1kv catalyst has been in the database almost 2 years - that got put in (maybe even with malfeasance) way back in season [b][i]five[/i][/b]

BRO IVE HAD THIS IDEA SINCE IT CAME OUT ok ok ok so what if- You add an extra shot in the mag, making it 16, and make the perk proc at 4 shots, and increase the damage

Evil thoughts: doubles the bonus damage to taken & boosts the rpm to 200 after triggering the slug explosion. Also, feeding frenzy intrinsic.

Holy crap! If it takes only 3 shots to trigger the explosions, it would be so OP in the crucible. It would be like a two-tap Thorn during it's maiden voyage. Set it and forget it kind of thing. I'd be all up for that! =)

I’m still ruffled that when they first gave us a showcase trailer for Forsaken exotics they tried to make its multi-hit detonation look way stronger than it really is by putting explosive ether cans behind the Vex you were shooting. It’s alright now, but it really does feel tad bit underwhelming compared to other weapons that can melt through taken just as quickly.

I thought the catalyst was data mined and it was suppose to proc explosions on 4 shots and faster reload. Could’ve been different been a long time since I seen the post.
