Don't worry. Bungie WILL take a hit for this. Whether that is financial, reputation, or both, there will be lasting consequences and at this point it's the best we can hope for.
They should've learned the lesson indirectly taught by Bethesda that, as a game studio, you are never too big to fail.
With gamers, game studios who are lazy and stick their fingers in their ears will eventually land themselves right where they deserve to be: on the sale rack (game pass) or deleted.

Man I’ve already started migrating to other games. I know I ain’t the only one. This used to be my daily game. I’m cautiously hopeful for Halo Infinite, but after H5, I’m gonna wait and see.

Did you not play D1? They did this all the time. I’m not giving an opinion about how I feel about it but it’s definitely not the first time they’ve ever done this.

Modifié par OHIMGONEGETCHA : 9/19/2020 11:03:39 PMBecause it's sorta happened once before isn't a justification to do it again...especially when you consider the backlash they received from it then and having to back track, apologize, and literally say that they'd never do it again. Also, consider that D1 was only on console and was most console players first experience with an MMO type game, myself included (outside of a terrible 360 game called Defiance). I had no idea what sunsetting meant and wasn't around for it because I'd already stopped playing after TDB. I don't think most understood the ramifications of sunsetting as they do now. Bungie seems to have learned nothing from that fiasco. We did, and don't want it to be repeated.

I’d personally make this trade if possible. Sunset for vaulting. I have a much bigger issue with taking away content. They say it’s because the game is too big already but who knows.

That's not a justification It's an indication that you're all talk lol. Bungie isn't gonna take any kind of hit because of sunsetting. Half the people on here complaining are still playing and grinding nightfalls and the other half are probably just waiting for November to start playing again. Very few will actually stop playing the game. And even when they do they'll still lurk the forums for whatever reason

A lot of words to say nothing. What's your point anyway? Yes, I've quit the game. So much for "all talk". Yes, I routinely visit this forum. My invested time and money affords me an opinion, still. Follow your own advice and quit if you don't like it.

Um game pass isn’t bad being on. Like all Xbox exclusives games are on there (yeah most are bad) but I’ve played some fun ones. One of my absolute favorite game was Sea of Thieves. Best pirate game I’ve played. But still being on game pass doesn’t mean it is a bad thing

A drop in the bucket considering all the game pass subs from both xbox and PC...but it cannot be anywhere near the $50 per unit they would've gotten had they not put in on game pass... Unless... Bungie can no longer afford to gamble on their own player base because of their own bad decisions/lack of meaningful engagement and a dwindling active player count. At this point, the Destiny IP is only propped up by industry brand recognition, apologists, streamers, and it's game controls. None of which accurately reflects the actual current state of the game. Everyone else who continues to play is slowly realizing the emptiness and some are taking baby steps to get off the train. I'm not saying Destiny is dying although it is likely, but the experience and overall quality have SEVERLY been reduced. It has been a steady decline since D1 launch with more lows than highs. Blatant lies, miscues, forced gameplay experience mechanisms, and little to no communication or accountability. In all honesty, this is just my amateur assessment. I'm just reading tea leaves. I just believe BL going to Game Pass has some real significance and I don't believe it is a good thing for Bungie... And they deserve it 1000%
