Leaving in November
• 5 raids
• 7 strikes
• 1 dungeon
• 4 patrol destinations
• Menagerie/Tribute Hall
Arriving in November
• 1 raid
• 2 strikes (1 reprised)
• 0 dungeon
• 2 patrol destinations (1 reprised)
• more???
"Later" in y4
• 1 raid (reprised)
• 2 strikes (reprised)
• expansion of existing patrol destination
Do the simple, basic math. It's a pretty significant net loss of content. But somehow methinks Bungie will find a way to keep the game running slower than hair growth.
Edit: lol here comes the downvote squadron to hide faults with their dear leaders.
Edit 2: bold text the point of the post
Edit 3: two whole days and almost 500 replies and not a single one addresses the actual point of the post. Amazing.

We are getting less than we are losing.

2 commentairesModifié par True : 8/7/2020 2:59:01 PMProphecy will be returning in a later season even if it does leave. Also literally no one cared about any of the Levi raids until now, the destinations that are leaving are rarely used and are taking up a lot of game space, and honest to god I could not care less that some strikes are leaving and I guarantee you didn't either. This is a 'stir that pot' post but I can, with almost one hundred percent certainty, say that no one actually cared about Titan, Io, or Mercury at ALL until Bungie said they were leaving. You are -blam!- to btich and not actually looking at the positives that come from this, like lowered game size.

Modifié par PsychWard8 : 8/8/2020 3:37:45 PMWhat other raid is leaving? I thought only the 4 Leviathan based ones were going away. They getting rid of the black armory one too? And what dungeon? The one from this season? That's lame
-
Im perfectly fine with them removing the Patril zones and strikes, but it seems odd that the Leviathan is leaving. Yes there's a lot of content there. But 5 raids leaving is a lot on top of Menagerie and Tribute hall. I dunno chief, seems kinda wack to me. Also, Leviathan raid was the only good introductory raid in D2

1 commentaireIs it a "fair" exchange? Arguably no, but do I care in the slightest? No, not at all. Fact is the vast majority of the items leaving have been played into the ground to the point that they are currently irrelevant. This is akin to getting rid of your old furniture when you buy new (with some of it being the same "model" as you previously owned). I seriously don't understand why so many people care about things if they don't regularly use/play them. Should we ideally get more from the expansion? Yes and hopefully the "and more" will actually deliver on that point, but until it launches we won't know. Either way I'm ready for new/different stuff to come to Destiny. If the removed content actually speeds up and improves the performance of the game, that's just the cherry on top in my opinion. Take a chill pill and if you aren't sold on the deal, don't buy it.
-
1 commentaireAre they really getting rid of the strikes as well? With that logic all pvp maps from those destinations would need to go too. Sigh...
-
Thing is you are only listing what we know about. There will be other things too, remember prophecy? Literally no one knew about that before it launched.
-
2 commentairesNo, what you dont understand is [insert bs reasoning here] and that's why you're an idiot and should delete the game.
-
Bungie has always played their cards close to their chest. I guarantee you there will be much, much more content coming. Actual details of content are usually not given out until just a few days before release. Until then we ride the hype train. I think once November rolls around and we start playing all the new content, no one will care about sun setting and players will realize they were complaining for nothing.
-
6 commentairesBungie is full of dumb intern diversity hires... this is why the game is in such a shit state.
-
1 commentaireDon't worry, they'll sell you back everything they're taking away and tell you its new content a few seasons from now.
-
1 commentaire
• ...Tribute Hall
Nobody is making a fuss over this after dumping hundreds of thousands of materials into it? On top of that, so many people were crying for a firing range, which this essentially is, but it's being removed.

Modifié par x 4theRage : 8/7/2020 12:23:19 AMThey’re too cheap to pay for more servers to handle it since activision left plain and simple they just won’t come out and say it Edit: well I guess they indirectly did by hiding it behind the “destiny content vault” lol

9 commentairesHow do you know any of this information? They never released the amount of strikes, never mentioned there being or not being a dungeon
-
Modifié par Drew5150 : 8/6/2020 10:30:01 PMI dont think it's supposed to be equal parts out of the gate. Intentionally leaving room for future content. Thought process is probably to rip the bandaid off in one big tear down of content. Now move forward.

4 commentairesModifié par 2z : 8/6/2020 5:34:59 PMCurious, im assuming this means that the pvp maps that exist on those planets are going as well. So jav4 will be gone :(

21 commentairesare you serious right now you shouldnt lose anything dont give me space restriction nonsense because both gta 5 and red dead are over 100g at this point when you roll over and take it they will keep taking i left 6 months ago best move i ever made you either stand for something or you dont get a voice bungie wont change so i did
-
I think this will make the game much less of a chore if there Are 7 less raids. I know people who have only raided twice in 2yrs of playing this game because there is to much content to keep up with. So I say good on you Bungie for trying to make the game a little simpler
-
5 commentairesSo I'm not sure what the goal of this purpose is. More salt on an open wound or just pure making for the heck of it. If you had to split the game in half and you looked the numbers it's clear that half of the stuff you complained about doesn't even get touched on a daily basis. There is the saying that less is more. Having fewer components means the experience and gameplay can be beefed up. We don't even know half of what's coming in Beyond Light and people are complaining. You ask yourself on a daily basis how often you play strikes, crucible or even Gambit unless it's for a pinnacle challenge or power gear? Zero because most of the time you've got what you wanted. Whilst we all want, what we want. Bungie is still a business and they need to stride a thin line. We can't all have that epic intergalactic MMO/FPS where powers can be fused and weapons can be whatever we've dreamt of. That requires more coding + research = more money for development. Now I'm not saying there aren't things that don't need fixing. Heck! If it were up to me I would actually scrap the current Raiding system and even the way most Matchmaking is done and scrap peer to peer servers and opt for dedicated servers and lean into the RPG a little more than it is right now. But can we at least see what they have to offer before we get all upset and angry? Because the fact of the matter is if D1 remained just D1 everyone would be complaining. Add this, add that. If memory serves correctly, there was so much complaint about D1 before the house of wolves and then after it until Taken King dropped and everyone was happy again >.> Anyhoo that's my 2 sense.

7 commentairesDon’t care about losing strikes at all. They are a waste of time. The raids I’m fine with. There is too many with bad loot. Most of the patrol areas are stale and dull so I’m fine with those going too. Actually I’m ok with all it being sunsetted
-
11 commentairesi cant understand why anyone would buy the up coming dlc. iv bought every dlc ans season pass since d1 but not touching this sunset filled garbage. lol
-
U forget to say that even staying content will be useless. Moon and Dreaming city will be will be 1050 power. U also get shit ton of bugs as a bonus. Hell some exotics are still bugged. New skills, element equals more bugs. This team cant hotfix a simple bug on first try. What do you people expect from this Bungie ? The only ones waiting for the new DLC are the $streamer$ addicts.
-
4 commentairesBungie is the only game company (perhaps ever?) that objectively gives you less of a game, and charges you for the privilege. It's amazing what people will put up with.

8 commentairesEso 100+ gb, Red Dead 100+ gb, CoD is 200+ gb, GTA is 100+ gb, etc . yet all these games don't take away content to add more, granted RDO doesn't add much but the rest OMG. If this was truley an MMO like Bungie wants it to be than they wouldn't be taking away content cause freaking ESO never takes away content and continues to add. WoW continued to add content and never took it away. Also this is crap we paid for like 60-100+ dollars for due to expansions and crap so yes we have a right to be pissed when we paid for it and it's being taken away for content in which half of it is crap we already paid for in D1.
-
I pointed this out to the BDF over a month ago. Instead of a D3 because Bungie wasn’t able to Develop enough NEW content for a sequel they’ve decided to push the reset button on D2. Reskin, reuse, reissue. That is the premise for the game moving forward.

1 commentaireModifié par PapaSubpar : 8/5/2020 7:07:13 PMHave they done a full reveal of what is coming in Beyond light? I know they have announced some stuff. But I don't think they have told us everything yet.
