How does this actually stop power creep? What is the point of ever spending your time grinding to get the 67 68 armor when it will disappear and you have to do the same thing again, or to masterwork everything just to have to repeat it all over again. Masterworks gear should become much cheaper now at the very least.
All sunsetting means is now you will have to constantly be grinding over and over again for the exact same gear.
Bungie has lost all sense of creativity and innovation. Constantly repackaging old content and reselling it.
Where is the communication Bungie?

1 commentaireLazy dev. Greedy dev. Talentless dev.
-
2 commentairesEasy! Bungie is lazy and they don't respect you or your time.
-
11 commentairesThey're obviously doing this because they are done with Destiny. It's over. The game has been made to its end. It will be supported and updated, but the content is made. They don't want to work on this game. They probably want to forget it ever happened in the first place. As much as I loved it once, Destiny completely ruined Bungies reputation. They are selling more of the same in September. Peddling more of the same wares in Eververse. Demanding the same amount of our limited time. Delivering the same, if not worse, bland and never ending never closing story. Im over it. If you're like me, and have been complaining about things in Destiny for an age, but still playing it..you will not like the remainder of D2. You will not enjoy Beyond Light, or whatever. You will have the same complaints that you do now. You have to ask yourself, do you really want that?
-
8 commentaires1. They are lazy and mediocre 2. They only care about themselves. 3. They could care less about their players. 4. We keep buying it. **Boycott next expansion and see what happens**

1 commentaireI had to rebuy my Bad Omens rocket launcher from the Drifter only to infuse it with my current Bad Omens to get its light level up. So after a bunch of Glimmer and Shards I am right back where I started.
-
I wonder why bungie didn’t make new armor ornaments(the ones that you can get with silver or bright dust, not from the season pass), probably because there lazy or are too focused on beyond light so they just made the Intrepid set available again

17 commentairesGreat question. I have no problem with sunsetting. If Bungie wants to retire weapons, great, that’s fine. But this. This is just the worst way of doing it. Giving us the exact same weapons back at higher levels is a complete slap in the face, and making us regrind for the rolls we had before is such an insultingly obvious attempt to extend the grind even more. Sunsetting is clearly just a way to get around a few game-breaking weapons Bungie didn’t have the good sense or ability to test themselves before they dropped them in the game. No other reason has been given that adequately justifies it other than yet another attempt to control what we use. Avoiding “Power creep” is such a facile argument that allows Bungie to sidestep the actual issue that they can’t test their own game properly. Most of the guns in game are average at best, and if Bungie really wants a neutered, “one is as good as another” experience, they need to stop creating outliers that never should have been that powerful to begin with.

8 commentaires“Don’t worry, we aren’t going to give you the same weapons with new expiration dates” -Luke Smith
-
3 commentairesI think the fact that bungle isn't saying anything about this is concerning. They have been completely radio silent about major issues in game
-
Why? There's an astoundingly large amount of people okay with farming re issues is one reason. Just look at people spamming the old raids for loot because it's got a re issued power cap and has ok stats. Some people will let anything fly by without complaint.

Modifié par Knox Knox : 7/14/2020 6:48:48 AMNext season you'll be surprised even more. I'm thinking you'll probably gonna get new gear and new guns. They are all new, new skins, new look, new name, new perk. But guess what?. . . They may be exactly the same guns that you've left behind. They just changed the look, name, and skin of it. But they all work just as same as your old one in the vault. Lol. That's my 2 cents. You'll think you have new guns because they have new look and skins. But they actually aren't. They would probably feel just the same. Lol. That's my 2 cents to all this Sunsetting bullsh*t! Digital Slavery at it's finest! I won't be there when that happens. LMFAO!

2 commentairesHonestly, I'm not even quite sure why all of this is happening right now. I know Sunsetting could be the main issue. It's a change that is happening right now. And there are more changes that comes with it. They said Destiny is now an Action game MMA game whatever, game blah, blah, blah. You must buy Finishers from Eververse with real money thrown at the screen because after "Sunsetting," I think your guns will be sitting in the vault when it expires. Also called Vaulted. So Melee Finishers will be the name of the game and will trump everything with a Magic Card combo kick/punch turn magic chop combo cards! . . . That's gonna be new Meta. Like OP! By the way, don't forget to buy your seasonal Trannymogs Armor too from Eververse. Or else your guardians will be naked next season. They like balls, you know?! Okay, Bungie Bye! #sunsetsunsetting!
-
Yup. They are spending all their time working on Matter, their new NetEase IP, so they don't have time to make new weapons, or perks or new content. They re-issue the same gear with a higher light cap and expect people to re-grind for their current weapons.
-
1 commentaireTo get rid of your old god rolls in end game activities. No matter how many people tell me I'm wrong, I'm right.
-
Because game development is hard.
-
I blame us. As players we all should have put our foot down when they lied saying d2 wasn’t a fresh start
-
the short and real answer to this is because power creep was a lie
-
1 commentaireThe communication is there if you read between the lines of Luke Smith's directors cut. They are sunsetting weapons to bring them back at a later date. He wants you to earn them back not through seasonal activities but through "core" activities, which translates to the same boring strikes, gambit and crucible maps. So basically Luke wants you to keep paying with an absolute minimum effort by bungie.
-
7 commentairesBecause: 1. They are lazy. 2. Creating Content is too hard for them despite it being their job. 3. Their fanboys eat it up like all the other turds on a silver platter served to them. 4. Luke Smith is a complete hack who is too busy trying to re-live his glory days of WoW with an FPS, but failing miserably because he actually hasn't put anything good from WoW (or any other MMO for that matter) into this game, but insists that his ideas are the best. 5. They overhyped and oversold the idea, making it seem like new weapons would come in the place of sunset weapons only to, once again, word their comment vaguely enough for their statement to not be a total lie so their defenders and fanboys could go "See look, they didn't technically break their word". 6. They honestly just do not give a single -blam!- about this game or the players.
-
33 commentairesThe same with all the pinnacles. Everyone complains about them. I bet something like this will happen: - They will sunset Recluse next season. I bet you'll get another one similar or different gun than Recluse but has the same power as Recluse. This time with a shelf life time stamp. LMAO. Infinite Hamster Wheel grind. - They will sunset Mountaintop next season. I bet you'll get another one similar or different gun than Mountaintop but has the same power as Mountaintop. This time with a shelf life time stamp. LMAO. Again, infinite Hamster Wheel grind. Get the picture?. . . It will apply to all your guns, Pinnacles and Legendaries! This is what Fanbois want! LMFAO!!! I don't know about you guys but I am not going to be a Rat chained in an endless Hamster Wheel grind season after season. That's what you call Digital Slavery at it's finest. LMFAO! Cheerios Slaves! #sunsetsunsetting!

5 commentairesTo be fair we got fair warning and have a good amount of time for them to adjust. The reissuing was a poor choice but this game is a looter shooter. Having to farm new weapons is kinda the idea of it
-
1 commentaireModifié par The_Real_Jamerz : 7/16/2020 1:44:12 AMIt's just so going into the next year of the game u can still have some stuff that is familiar. Edit: if I may add would u rather everything right now be useless except for only the new weapons from this season? Gotta have some stiff going into next year
-
1 commentaireissue has never been about power creep, that was just a story they spun, its about ppl complaining about pinnacle weapons and rather than them introducing new perks/weapon archetypes they force ppl to grind for the same weapons they already had so they have to spend more hours on game
-
If they updated the perk pool in the reissued guns I would get behind it. Missed opportunity on bungies part
-
2 commentairesIt's perks, not weapons, that are really sunsetting. I'm surprised this has gone over the heads of the community.
