You shouldn't buy it anyway. Youll get mostly reskinned content followed by another year of atrocious and mundane activities. And they'll double down on Eververse through transmog along the way.
Just break free from it. Get your lives back.

Yep, I've said the same. This year has been so atrocious that I wouldn't had bought anything else anyway, but sunsetting our gear, just solidified my stance. And I'm 100% sure that Eververse will have an even bigger presence, its like a festering cancer, spreading more and more. Also, you are most likely right about the transmog, it will be such a slog to try to "earn" things that people feel they have to buy them with real money. That's how it usually works in mobile games. Way ahead of you on the final bit, haven't played in weeks and no intention of returning. Not even though I already paid for next season.

Conqueror is my swang song to 6 years of Destiny and then I'm out....and honestly it already feels great.

I logged in to visit Xur on weekend for couple of weeks, but stopped even doing that sometime ago (those are my last logins in any case). I didn't see any point even in that, even though it was basically free exotics. Hey, once you get out of it, it will be even better. I've been having so much fun going through my backlog, which will quite easily carry me for years if I need it to. Although it only has to for few months before Cyberpunk comes out, then that will take up all my free time :D And you know, reading what you said about the time you have spent within this franchise, I can relate on a certain level. I didn't play that much D1, but definitely way too much D2 :) It was bittersweet moment to admit this game has become something that I don't want to be a part of anymore, and I even considered logging in one more time to give my main a sendoff, call me sentimental POS if you want, but I felt like I would send him to his retirement :D
