... as I would be able to play a lot more of it. I would not have to LFG (and potentially fireteam up with cheaters.) A lot of my friend's don't want to attempt the mode for fear of being steamrolled. I could play as long as I wanted, work on my bounties, and stop when I didn't want to go on. I have played a lot of freelance Survival since the mode was introduced and it has always been fun (currently at 3500 solo and making progress whenever I get to play.)
Connection based matchmaking would work because there would always be a pool of players with the same wins as you on the card. Heck, this passage could have some unique challenges/features/rewards to ack the solo journey.
PS: I realise I might be missing some obvious drawbacks of this and/or this could have been discussed already, but thought about asking this community anyway. I have always received excellent critical feedback to my questions in the past from the community. I was discussing this with my friends the other day I heard genuine excitement in their voices when they heard the idea.

2 commentairesI would definitely play it, but I think the reality would be your freelance team-mates would leave as soon as you lost the first round or first match. Once flawless has gone why would they stay? It would be plagued by people quitting matches in search of an unobtainable flawless run

2 commentairesIn that case I want a free lance raid 😂🤣 jk that would be aids. By all means let solo's que into the normal trials playlist. Would be hilarious to stomp them.

14 commentairesModifié par R merc G : 4/29/2020 4:17:44 PMFreelance "Trials" would no longer be Trials. Fireteam vs Fireteam is what makes the mode unique. Trials should have a reward system that inspires players to go out and find a team, not a reward system that crushes players underfoot of sweats and only rewards the most hardcore. However, a freelance option would break Trials because going out to find others to play with and build a team would be a "worse" experience than queuing up in no effort matchmaking. Players desiring to grind for rewards choose the path of least resistance and it would end up being no different than standard elimination with some flair. No mics, no coordination, etc.

Would be great for a test

Yes. Please make this happen Bungie. I have fun in the Freelance Comp Playlist. Got some cool weapons out of it so would be nice to do the same with trials.
-
4 commentairesOf course it should! I mean comp has one so why shouldn't trials, it is the same thing.......

Just saying the reason why the do not have freelance trials is the same reason they don't have freelance raids. It would be awful and dysfunctional. Also what happens if you are a match made with a hacker on your team, simple if you get reported it's likely you will be banned, that is after they actually get more people on the cheater problem. Let me put it this way it would be like sticking someone who cares way too much about their kd and takes the game WAY too seriously with someone who is more of a casual player. imagine what the voice channel would sound like after one single loss.
-
Lol. I'm sick of responding to this nonsense.
-
Why are your friends afraid to be steam rolled? We've all been steam rolled in trials it's part of the learning process.

2 commentairesI would love to see a freelance mode for several reasons. One, I don't want to risk using LFG and ending up with cheaters which results in me getting banned, because Bungie told us we weren't safe from the ban hammer if we were in a fireteam with cheaters. I also think that this would increase the player base because there are so many solo players out there. Up until the release of Shadowkeep I had been a solo player which was frustrating because it limits the loot I could get. All the raid loot felt so exclusive because I never had a team to do it. I'm sure many other people feel the same way about trials. A solo player who spends his time in the crucible is probably dying for an astral horizon. But he can't grind for one because he doesn't have a team. A freelance mode would greatly benefit trials, as well as the game.
... I would not have to LFG (and potentially fireteam up with cheaters.)
Wouldn't this make you more likely to be on a team with a cheater without knowing it? in LFG you can at least look up their stats to see if it's fishy, but in freelance you would be just thrown into a game.

1 commentaireModifié par Swiftlock : 4/30/2020 1:49:29 AMThat defeats the purpose of Trials. Freelance just makes it a normal Crucible mode. Trials is the endgame of PvP. Building a good team to overcome the challenge is part of the experience, just like raiding.
-
Voted no cause trials is the end game for pvp, and you're supposed to build a team to conquer it, like raids, higher level nfs, etc. Also, the most important thing in trials is communication, and most dont use the fireteam chat option in game. Just look at how many dont use it in other modes in the game. It doesnt matter in those game modes, but in trials, where it's all about wins/losses, it matters.

5 commentairesTo quote somebody else from here..... The sooner trials dies the better.

Getting 7 wins in a row with a group of randoms will be the tougher than simply getting a team together and going flawless. It doesnt affect me so sure why not, while we are at it, raids should have matchmaking too. Its not like raids have been hard to complete anyways, I did all the raids on D1 and the only raid I bothered with on D2 was leviathan and it was just as easy once everyone gets the mechanics
-
I would just like more freelance queues in general.

5 commentairesIf trials was freelance mode it would turn into a token farm for me. I would not care about the end result of winning. There is no point for me the quick way to get my loot would be to jump of the map watch a movie while doing it. And at the end of the weekend go for 5 wins to turn in my tokens to get the best loot. I think it’s so dumb to have a looter shooter. With a pinical activity match base with a free lance playlist. A card base race to 7 wins on a freelance playlist umm.. why would I even care about winning? I can easy jump from the map quicker, do my bounty, turn in my tokens. And farm a night to get everything that I ever want before attempting to get better in pvp to go flawless. Hek why not just make it the way it was. Join a clan if one guy gets tokens we all get them. Oh and everything else I can do in elimination because that’s that same as trials without my tokens

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - ancien
I voted for it. Reason: player choice If people wanted to use Freelance Trials then they could. If people wanted to continue with Pre made teams of friends, clanmates, from lfg etc.. then they could continue doing so. -
It would literally be a train wreck. Pretty sure they know that and will never implement it. Comp is nothing like trials.
-
40 commentairespeople seem to really misunderstand the mode. matchmaking would render it to be regular crucible nothing more. the entire concept is to build a team and conquer, not regular crucible.
-
It was really well received in Comp so see no reason why it wouldn't work in Trials, good call imo Voted yes
-
Worked with Competitive... I don’t know why it wouldn’t work with ToO. Would definitely make it more accessible .

This....

I probably would still be playing Destiny 2 if this was a thing.

I mean...why TF not.
