Hi all , I’ve been playing Destiny now on Xbox for over 5 years and have invested 1000’s of hours as well as a considerable amount of money buying all the DLC’s and silver. I’ve been in a position for 3 weeks+ where I’m unable to play due to the watercress and newt error codes I repeatedly get.
I’m desperate to play and becoming increasingly frustrated. Anyone able to advise me about what I need to do to play? I have tried all of the official suggestions and other forum members advice to no avail. Is there a way to get Bungie to look into my account?

Been like this for 5 to 6 weeks now and I can't see them fixing the problem, cozmo, Deej and Luke Smith don't know what's going on too many people hitting them from different angles about the problems in the game. But let's see what the TWAB says on Friday, I now know that TWAB means for the people who don't know it is The wa#kers At Bungie. This is a joke

You’re not alone my dude. 5+ years. 5k hrs in D1 6k in D2 and now I’m paying for content I can’t play... WTF is wrong with me? Why am I still here? I should definitely find another game that actually cares about its playerbase. Love the Gunplay and the Lore but this is a new level of Rip Off. I might as well go buy a new car and not be able to drive it. 🤦♀️🔫

People say you can work around the problem, but it's going to cost more money to do it, if bungie sent out ps or pc and the game dlc to the people who have got watercress on xbox, I would take that

6 commentairesBungie knows what causes the errors but they have no idea how to fix it. The only work around there is, is to cross-save on PC, stadia or PSN.

BelXbox2173 ID I got tired of waiting for a solution since the bungie has already made numerous updates and this WATERCRESS error cannot be solved, it is a sign that they are not so concerned with the xbox players, and what I did to ease this situation was to create another profile on xbox and start from scratch, but there is another problem you will have to buy the DLCs for the second time and that is what revolts me the most.

1 commentaireSame here been playing since D1 spent God knows how long playing D2 I've tried every hint I could get hold of managed to play a little three days ago but soon as I tried to go to a different destination along comes newt it wouldn't do bad if bungie could just give any kind of notification that their doing something anything to fix this I keep hearing about them trying fix trials sod that this is a bigger problem, fix it so we can actually play to the game then worry about the other stuff I know the world is suffering with covid 19 and we have do what we can to beat it but please bungie just give us some info on what's going on I can wait for the fix as long as I know it will get fixed but right now it seems like you haven't even acknowledged there's a problem and I've got though my network settings with a fine tooth comb and there's no problem my end but please some news hoping you read this

All my time and money down the drain plus feel robbed and abused. Shame on them. Missing out on everything limited like the coolest ghost and ship. It will take a while to recover from this.

No. You’re SOL until Bungie gets off their butts and fixes their problem. Almost 2 months for some gamers with this error that restricts their ability to play. I’ve never seen anything like this in gaming before. It’s unprecedented. The Buyers remorse is real.

I'm in my 6th week. It takes me 2 hours sometimes just to load 1 character to do one activity and then attempt character reloading again. Bungie states every week that they're working on it, but quite honestly, it's becoming apparent that it's not a priority. They continue stating that "it's only affecting a small amount of xbox accounts" that way they can justify not prioritizing it. The game is unplayable at this point, I somehow powered through getting my almighty seal, but can't make any progress in the guardian games, so the machine gun isn't looking good for me. Of course this issue has to happen when we're stuck at home and need this outlet more than ever!

So I know this isn’t exactly a fix for your account but you can make an alternate account and you will be able to play again on the alt account. Same Xbox, same internet, just a new account will let you play. It’s incredibly frustrating but the newt and watercress error codes are tethered to the account effected. As long as you have game share on your Xbox you will be able to play your dlcs on the alternate account. I have been doing this the past 3 or 4 week now, I did have to re buy the season pass on my alt account though. You do not need to re buy it to play.

Unfortunately not. They did mention they were going to try to resolve individual accounts but nothing has come of it. There isn't anything that you can do except wait for a fix. I'm in the same boat as you it's just over 3 weeks for me as well and it's beyond frustrating
