D1 isn’t really that much better, if at all, than D2 currently is.

Reskins for gear and, for the most part, pretty forgettable weapons that were often really just aesthetic choices over other similar weapons. Subclasses technically had a decent bit of customization, but each subclass really only had a few good setups anyways. So again, nothing really too special. The leveling system wasn’t really amazing or bad, just like D2’s. The loot system is also super duper overrated. Hell, that goes for the quality of the loot too. Edit; Raids are still pretty damn simple in D2, as well.

Some are still dog shit though. Edit; also, with the amount of backlash reprised things get, I don’t think these items are what is keeping D2 afloat, my dude.

Black hammer was wack as -blam!- and should have never been legendary. Truth still sucks. Telesto is better in D2. Lord of Wolves is better in D2. Point being, lotta things are way better in D2 because they were mostly forgettable in D1.

Pretty much every single item that has come into D2 from D1 has been better from the get go in D2. The only real exception is the Black Hammer, but that was already brought back as a somewhat watered down exotic in D1 to begin with. And again, due to its high output, it’s arguably stronger in D2.
