If our hard earned loot & favorite weapons from previous seasons will be capped and no longer viable in pinnacle activities then we wasted our time grinding for them and all it shows is Bungie's lack of respect for the time players invest in this game.
Yes midnight coup is a year 1 Hand cannon but if i want to use it in pinnacle activities and infuse it to higher light level then i should be allowed to. At the end of the day with the season pass model content you are so fixated on delivering, its drip fed, small content releases with no substantial input into the loot pool or desirable end game grind. All it will do is limit us as players to certain/current weapons from a given season ( which for all we know could be re skins of other crap we have already seen in Destiny's lifespan ) because that seems to be a common trend right now.
Whats the point of a looter shooter game if half the loot isn't viable? It becomes a kinda looter sort of shooter. And that will end up being the final nail in the coffin.
Hopefully Bungie actually listen to all this feedback. I know some people think its a good idea and i understand their reasoning but i don't think Destiny has the loot pool depth to be able to do this.
Hope you had a good weekend fellow Guardians :)

Modifié par Mr Gnat : 3/6/2020 1:35:22 AMThe dir cut was the warm up telling us they’re going to take a giant shit on their customers. Yes we are customers. The next cut will tell us when they’re going to deuce on us. My thoughts is that I’ve players close to 3000 hrs of d2. And several hundred dollars on game and expansions. Once I know the Cleveland steam roller is getting dropped. I’m out. These shisters aren’t going to do anything until October. They want all the tendies from new annual pass sales before the drop the news.

This game is trash

3 commentairesThe player count has actually doubled in the last week according to Destiny tracker. Thats.... unfortunate and just tells me that Bunghole will get away with this travesty scot free.

Little did they know, it was their own game they were retiring...

2 commentairesModifié par Kouz_MC : 3/3/2020 8:32:42 AMAre you new to this game/franchise? Bungie haven’t changed business model, they’re only short of staff, cash, star employees, supporting studios, so they do what they can with what they have left. Luke Smith warned one month before shadowkeep released that they had no intention whatsoever to touch weapons. He probably thought his ideas were going to make people throw money at their screen but it didn’t really materialize. All the money earned was spent on fast food. So 1y later they still can’t invest into D2 but need to continue to milk the cows. Hence weapon retirement. Fact is, the less than 5% remaining who still play this game will probably continue forever. I mean, they’re still here after the most underwhelming and disappointing big content drop ever in the history of Destiny: 1 copy paste map, no new subclass or the like, no new weapons, 1 trash strike, 1 broken ass raid which I still don’t understand why Sony allows to run it with these crashing frame rates. Back in D1 Bungie wouldn’t have been allowed to charge so much for so little, and the community wouldn’t have let them. Now the community is gone for good, so Bungie will care even less about investing in this game.

16 commentairesI am retiring until they confirm publicly that they have reconsidered this change.

all it will come down to is re-earning the same weapons but re-skinned. it comes down to ttk and there is only so many combinations that can achieve that.

Wait do I count as player retirement since I don’t really play d2 often now days

It will for me. Unless Bungle lets me keep my masterworked hard earned Legendary weapons, they can shove it up their poop hole. They will get ZERO money going forward.

1 commentaireNot surprising there hasn't been a single response to one of these posts from Bungie yet

4 commentairesI got AC odyssey for 20 bucks I have to admit that it’s freaking epic

13 commentairesYou know that gear retirement is a thing that happens in literally every MMO (at least that I've ever played and that's a lot). I'm not sure why everyone is freaking the hell out over it. Its a small potatoes thing. If all you ever use is the same guns and same armor then why have character customization at all? You never get a sense of growth if you are always the same. And yeah yeah I can use different weapons and guess what, I do. The flip side of this is it ultimately helps with balancing of the game. If something is OP (say Recluse in its original form) they don't need to nerf it unless its game breaking. They can simple let time phase it out thus eliminating the nerf vs buff debate. Think about it, if Izanagi's expired at some point they wouldn't be nerfing sniper rifles. Instead they have to bring everything down as to not trivialize an encounter. Last week a dude told me PvP people were to blame over the artifact power thing and that we couldn't do nightfalls or raids cause we suck. So this weekend I did a master nighfall, master nightmare hunt and the GoS raid. All of which were incredibly easy because of Izanagi's burden. Got a champion in front of you? 4x honed edge that beezy and its dead. Need to get the boss's health down super fast? Izanagi that thing! Got some adds to clear? Bring out the spider of death and Recluse them to the ground! Without those two guns that raid and the nightfalls would have been far more interesting and challenging. If those weapons retired this wouldn't be the case. So they either shelf them or nerf them but one way or another they were bound to change it.

Correct

2 commentairesYes I want my old weapons. Eff the new bad ass weapons BUNGIE could make. Eff getting raid weapons that are bad ass like D1. Eff getting bad ass weapons in trials like D1. I want all of my old weapons that are reskins and have the same perks. I forever want bungie to make content based all around our 3 year old weapons. I want all exotics to continue to suck monkey ass.

5 commentairesThat’s funny, last time I saw the old “ I’m retired from destiny” post they were playing again within the hour

Modifié par Not_Forgotten(Adept) : 3/3/2020 8:10:10 PMHonestly alot of games have been like this that try to last a long time so its ok now to me. Besides if your a player like me who does everything D2 has to offer then you've gotten everything so honestly retiring weapons isnt so bad because eventually you will get tired of your load out I know I have already so I've been trying new things such as bows with chaperone, and mt. top reckless oracle and Ive been getting creative with my set ups as well. So this change is nessacary to keep players engaged in content.

If I find that the game goes down stream without a paddle, then I’ll bail. Until I see/play the actual changes then I’ll Make a decision then

Modifié par SamSu916 : 3/3/2020 4:15:43 AMI'm actually quite happy for this change. I now have time for other games I always wanted to play but was placed in the back of the line behind D2.

Cool, go play another game and quit playing Destiny. You're clearly not having fun.
