The new DualShock 4 back button attachment by Sony is well worth $29. As someone who has used Scuf and BattleBeaver controllers, the very inexpensive PS4 back button peripheral is on par for considerably less money. While not an Xbox elite controller, it is a major upgrade to the DS4.
For those that don’t know, the back buttons can be configured to any input on the DS4. I use jump and slide so I can always keep my right thumb on my aim stick. Reload and weapon swap is another good option if you don’t slide or jump a lot in combat. Yes the scuf and bb can have up to 4 buttons, but many argue that 2 back buttons are sufficient.
It will take some time to get used to, but once you do it will improve your pvp and pve game considerably. I personally went from being a 1.0 kd to a 1.2 kd player in a few months. Just wanted to make sure more people heard about this affordable, official, Sony peripheral.
**Edit: some people seem very touchy about controllers with back buttons. I’m not sure you understand how many of the streamers and PVP gods you know use controllers with back buttons. They are not a violation of terms of service, and many of them don’t give any other advantage other than providing you with a different button layout. The reason I made this post is to bring a very less expensive alternative some public attention so that those of you who have not been able to or are not willing to spend $150 plus can now afford or justify a controller upgrade. Also, some don’t know the difference between KD and KDA. My bungie crucible emblem says I have a 1.62 KD, but that is actually KDA. True KD does not count assists and must be looked up on an external website like destinytracker.com

2 commentairesPS controllers in general are horrible for FPS’s lol

10 commentairesI miss my Scuf but after buying 2 fully loaded Impacts, and having them both broken from the factory, and Scuf refusing to fix them, I can't with them anymore. I may try the DS4 Back Button.

77 commentaires1.0 kd to 1.2 in a few months? I have a 1.55 kd on battlefield using a normal controller with no fancy gadgets. Guess these things are designed for bad players to spend money in order to improve their stats. Kind if tragic but, whatever rocks your boat.

1 commentaireMy scuf impact has 4 paddles Two paddles is not enough for destiny.

2 commentairesCan i change the L3 button mines keep cutting off quick for some reason

6 commentairesI've been running Scuf controllers for about 8 years now. I absolutely LOVE the layout of the Vantage 2. Feels good and the thumbsticks are perfectly located for my gimpy hands. Personally I can't see myself moving away from their controllers but yeah, the price is a bit steep. With that said... For anybody who desires paddles on the back, that attachment looks like a pretty nice addition for the stock controller and really isn't a bad price at all.

Looked into em. They were sold out the other day when I was at GS

I'll get it for DS5 if it doesn't come with it already. I went from a 0.7 kd player to 1.1 kd in a month due to SBMM 🤣

2 commentairesI was going to buy a scuff. I'll keep this in mind

1 commentaireI just dunno if at this point in the consoles life cycle it’s worth the investment. Good post for those wanting to invest in it though.

Durable? Yes.

I like it. It seems very durable.

I've always been tempted with scuf; they look really cool... but you would want it be 100% perfect; I haven't found one I absolutely love! I'll check out the attachment!!

3 commentairesI just can't be bothered to relearn all my muscle movements. I was tempted when I saw it release though.

I purchased them so i can solo to legend on my gf account. The buttons are great but I PS4 controller sucks compared to an elite controller. If you like PS4 DualShock it’s a must buy

Thanks for the info. I’ve used a Scuf for a couple of years now (2 Scuf’s actually) and this will be a good addition for if my current one dies before destiny comes to ps5. I do like a domed right thumb stick however but maybe I can just get a kontrolfreakz for that.

1 commentaireKiller man. Right now I'm using the strike pack but the cable is super annoying and only 10 ft max. I'll get that when my kids break my strike pack eventually. Once you get used to back paddles you can never go back.

4 commentairesBro I’m looking for anything to prevent myself burning cash on more 40k models, this could be great. Thanks!
Sorry, all out of salt.
