Bungie, after 5 years of playing Destiny games, you still blow my mind. Too bad it’s not always in a positive way.
I can’t believe people have to make a post about this issue, but I also like to give my 2 cents: Why in the world did you make the decision to only reward ascendant shards in the nightfalls? And mainly the non-matchmade nightfalls?
What is wrong with people playing games they enjoy? (Raids, strikes, crucible, gambit, just exploring public events, lost sectors).
I get that the more difficult the activity, the higher the chance of dropping prisms and shards should be…. Every raid completion rewards one shard, every two or three 980 nightfalls give a shard, one in 60 public events give a shard, one in 25 lost sectors/strikes/crucible/gambit match give a shard, et cetera.
You maybe think that’s a lot, but give us some slack here.
Year 1: Armor 0.0. Armor masterwork costs: 5 cores.
Bungie: “oh, that was a mistake! Here comes Armor 1.0, delete all year one armor!”
Year 2: Armor 1.0. Armor masterwork costs: 9 cores.
Bungie: “oh, that was a mistake! Here comes Armor 2.0, delete all year two armor!” (Glad I didn’t)
Year 3: Armor 2.0. Armor masterwork costs: 130+ cores (if you don’t have prisms and enhancement shards). Not to mention you need friggin’ 3 shards to masterwork an exotic and you’re limited by element affinity….
What will happen in year 4? Armor 3.0? We need to delete everything again?
So, you don’t need to handout shards and prisms like candy, but give every gamemode in the game a chance to reward prisms/shards so people can simply treat D2 as a fun game and not as a chore or second job.

Great! Everytime someone asks Bungie to adjust RNG, they make it worse. SILENCE!!! RNG is bad enough
-
Remember in D1 when we would get 5 motes of light every time we leveled up? Good times

1 commentaireI’d be ok if they’d just halve the cost of prisms and shards. 100 cores for 1 shard is stupid and ridiculous.
-
4 commentairesGrind 950 and 980 nightfalls. They are easy to get.

Modifié par STYLIN33 : 12/7/2019 9:09:51 PMA few weeks back I’d get a few running the x5 ...920 nightfalls now they’re not dropping like before. Prisms that is . I ran 3x 980 master hunts and didn’t get any , the incentive at the moment is only running pinnacles having so few options to get them and many require a full team . I’ll jump on but just to catch up with clan mates .

I agree completely. The amount of resources required to infuse and upgrade armor are excessive, as well as the cost of energy for mods to apply to armor 2.0. There should be a guaranteed bounty or similar option to obtaining at least per week per character. There was no reason the costs of upgrading or infusing armor had to increase for Shadowkeep. In addition, you shpuld receive the prisms or enhancement cores back when you dismantle a piece you have upgraded previously.
-
Agree. Someone who cannot climb the ranks still deserves access to the rewards and PLAY and upgrade as they pleasee even if they never go up 10 points in power. If the activity rewards it let it drop at all levels for the casuals who still want to flex some tier upgrades as their time permits them to play.

In all fairness they never said delete old armor with 2.0 coming out. They said that your god rolled armor would be better to start with and then eventually moving to 2.0 would be a better option. With that said they need to work on better 2.0 drops overall, mod drops and the economy involved with masterworking 2.0 armor. 2.0 is the better option once masterworked and over 80. I love the versatility for builds but they absolutely need to improve several aspects involving 2.0.

1 commentaireEnd game content needs end game rewards. If everything is given out in casual game modes then we would be back to D2 Y1. Maybe make shards guaranteed on Solo Master nightfall completions?
-
Deconning exotics should give you a prism with a very lower chance of a shard. This would make duplicates useful and would make purchasing armor from Xur worth it if they’re not gonna make the stat rolls good.

2 commentairesI’ve been saying for years PE chests should have a chance to drop anything. Literally anything. Obviously the chances would be tiny for more important resources, but there should always be a CHANCE. Just knowing PE chests can drop this stuff would make running PE’s much more relevant.
-
Yes. Should be harder to get but doesn’t cost a -blam!-ing organ for one. Also, shouldn’t have to grind out ordeals over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to get a chance. NO QUALITY OF LIFE

What the game is missing is the fact that using your gear doesn’t level up your weapon/armor piece that you’re using . If there was a background level up system that allowed you to gain level up progress on the weapons and armor through just playing activities I feel like that would be a better experience for everyone. And they could still have the same deal where you could spend materials to level up gear quicker (D1 Motes o’ light) Leveling up your gear now feels like a chore not an experience you can find enjoyable. After using armor 2.0 I really do feel like the system had the right idea...but to who ever decided to add 2 new materials, to level up that gear, I hope you’re launched into the sun.

1 commentaireTotally agree. While I like the concept of armor 2.0 I think they have failed miserably in regards to masterworking it. It makes NO SENSE to have it cost as much as it does for your armor to get a small bump in stats and to be able to slot higher tier mods. Unless you have a team to be able to complete the 980 nightfall you are basically reduced to getting 3 from the season pass and maybe buy a few from Banshee. You certainly are not going to be upgrading armor on multiple characters (or multiple sets on one character) or upgrading new drops with higher stats. I wouldn't mind the high cost if you could infuse stats from another armor piece or make a piece masterworked by using a masterworked piece as infusion fuel. Heck, even getting the Ascendant Shard back when dismantling would be nice (maybe it does, I haven't tried it). One thing that Bungie has done an amazing job with in D2 is make me like the game less and less with each new season. I still play it, but my excitement for it has all but vanished.

Agreed, every player needs this stuff, it’s a fundamental part of the game, yet they make it so rare and tedious to get. They just don’t get it.
-
Hmm..yes..yes..yes..give me..give me..give me..
-
I agree with prisms, cause they aren't an issue for me, but ascendant shards should remain in pinnacle activities. They should drop in every raid, the 950+ ordeal, on pvp max glory x3, every 5 valor resets, and from whatever event e.g dawning.
-
Yea agree... That would be ideal, but id even be satisfied if they added "OPTIONAL " matchmaking to the higher level nightfalls... 😎👍

2 commentairesI didn't read the entire post (at work), so forgive me if I'm contradicting something you went over in the body of the post. Bungie will NEVER make it easier to obtain items. They want you playing 24/7 in order to acquire items because that keeps the playerbase numbers up. Also, the longer you're online, the more likely there's a chance you'll buy something from the Eververse store...
-
Modifié par D-lyfe : 12/6/2019 5:02:03 AMI agree there needs to be other avenues to obtain these materials, but every activity is a bit to much, I'd like it if we scrap a masterwork item we actually get an acendent shard back an the cost to upgrade exotics needs a drastic nerf 3 shards is overkill.
-
1 commentaireAscendant Shards... Hmm, that sounds very familiar. Funny how the most hated material in D1 Y1 is once again the most hated upgrade material in D2.
-
Agreed - especially with the ephemeral nature of the value of armor (seasons/activity-specific mod slots for example), it should be considerably more open. Masterworking armor and crafting builds is super fun, and it shouldn't be locked into RNG at the 980 level. IMO, they should be a drop possible in all raid activities, all 920+ NFs (with scaling drop rates), and guaranteed at 980. I also think they should be a possible drop from competitive crucible, high-performance in Iron Banner, and very rare drops (akin to exotics maybe) throughout all activities as a baseline. The same applies to prisms, at higher drop rates. Let's make it fun. These asks aren't easy mode. It's just opening up the game a little for more player choice, while rewarding endgame grinding more consistently. I don't see a problem with that. I see more player engagement.

7 commentairesSo that means. PVP .....0.000001% droprate....because it is the easiest activity ever. Heroic events...5%. Strikes 5%. Nightfall....7--50% depending on difficulty. FULL Raid completion...100%.
