So today I know is the day where the battle.net to steam move is starting but I am curious how this will affect cross save in the future. I have the most progress on my xbox account and do not want my battle.net account to mess up cross save on steam. could anyone shed some light on this for me?

Today is connecting to make sure your Blizzard licenses and data will transfer to Steam when the migration happens. The Cross-save system goes live tomorrow, and that system will be the one that you select your Xbox account as your primary account for Cross-save. The migration is just moving your data from Blizzard to Steam. Cross-save is loading your save data on whatever platform you play on. Two different things using two different functions.

1 commentaireI also have this same question. If we don't link our bnet account, is that going to impact the ability for Cross Save to function properly? As in, I have a bnet account that I don't use because I also use my Xbox primarily. I will use cross save tomorrow and be able to play my xbox saved progress on my bnet account, but if I link my bnet account to steam, is it forcing me to use my bnet account that doesn't have near the progress as my xbox account on steam?
