I know that's basically what the entirety of Destiny is, but it never feels like just going to a place and shooting a boss for me. EAZ brings out the worst of that feeling. I really don't get the concept of this activity.
You go around and kill mini bosses in 5 minutes, you kill the boss, you get chests. Except this system doesn't make any sense. The map feels HUGE, and you can actually explore everything on it, but there's nothing to explore there. There are groups of ads just running around that you can just ignore if you don't need kills. And once you finish, you have to actively look around for the hidden chests. But if you kill lots of mini bosses, then there's lots of chests to find, and some of the waypoints for them overlap. If you don't know where exactly the chests are from the few seconds you get, you're wandering around aimlessly in a MASSIVE map until the time runs out. There's also the prismatic taken that don't do anything except give lots of elemental orbs, but their spawns are random. But let's talk about the actual loot. I've only ever gotten key fragments and solstice boxes. The boxes can give planetary materials, blues, masterwork cores, and even legendaries. Problem is, all these are pretty much the worst way to farm any of these materials. Public events give more blues, forges give more materials, and menagerie gives cores. And all of these don't have any layers of RNG to them. First, you would have to get a solstice box, which is RNG, then, if you wanted datalatice, you would have to get lucky and get that from the boxes.
The whole EAZ doesn't make any sense, and the only reason people are doing it at all is because of the armor requirements. It just feels useless to do, it isn't unique or fun, and it doesn't even give good (Or unique) loot.

Hell, once you open 10 packages, you don't even need to do it for the armor. Unless there are more as you upgrade. It's OK. Not great. I was kind of hoping for the DLC to have more to do with the story and not go here and grind. Go there and grind. Go everywhere and grind.

2 commentairesMakes sense to me. It's a meditation made by the Warlock and I love it. I love all pve only activities and I'm gonna be running it a lot. Wish the armor had separate pve requirements so it would be as fun as EAZ is to me but can't have everything.

1 commentairei really like the map. It feels good to be able to climb up down and through all the buildings without hitting invisible walls. As for the activity? I think its pretty on par with other free to play events, maybe better because its actually a uniquely designed map instead of reskin. Its enjoyable for its limited purpose to me

You forgot “fall off.”

I mean, you're not wrong lol. I like it though. It's a nice diversion for a bit in a time where a content drought would normally exist. I'll take this hide and seek and assassinate gamemode in a cool map any day.
