Worst: I'd be unable to answer this. I don't play that wide of range of them, though I have played some that were terrible. Most of which I have forgotten about because I never played that far through them. I'd be more willing to qualify 'worst' as by certain companies who have a history of making poor decisions. Such as EA. That said, I have to add Destiny into the worst category because D1 was a train wreck the first year. So many seem to fawn over it, but they are usually all new to Bungie games and have no idea what they're talking about. Most also haven't played Halo CE-Reach, and have no idea what Bungie did or was capable of, nor why so many of the old Bungie club don't like D1 or D2. Yeah, yeah Activision... They still made these choices. Great gun play, TERRIBLE broken multiplayer that still relies on hosts, not servers, WAY too limited content, kept changing currency and engram values, and the original which was mostly void of any context and story. Grimiore cards - DUMBEST idea ever. D2 fixed some of that, added some story, still boring, but broke the whole reason to upgrade weapons and armor. They just never seem to get it right. Best: Back to the Halos Specifically CE- 3: ODST Star Wars Battlefronts - the originals Star Wars KotOR and KotOR II CoD: MW, WaW, Bl Ops GT3 Mario - first couple iterations from the beginning through the N64. Zelda - original and Ocarina of Time Fallout 3, NV, 4 Half Life 2 Portal Several others, but these are the ones I'll always favor.

Best games: 1. Starcraft: Brood War - Has one of the best sci-fi atmospheres out of any science fiction game, and it's an RTS. - Has some of the best dialogue and voice acting I've heard in any game. The story, characters, and drama are literally perfect and tells the best political war drama story out of any game. - The father of Esports and put competitive gaming on the map before it became the global phenomenon it is today. - Responsible for the creation of Twitch. - Created the foundation for games like League of Legends and Plants vs Zombies. - Had an in-depth map editor that led to the creation of a near endless supply of different games. 2. GTA: San Andreas - Laid the map for what a sandbox game should be by letting the player literally do anything at any given time that open-world games continue to be inspired by today. - Massive map that the PS2 could barely handle at times with so much areas to explore, things to do, and activities to partake in like working out at the gym to gambling in casinos. - Introduced RPG mechanics like a Stamina system, Sex Appeal to NPCs, individual weapon skill levels, and even having CJ learn up to 4 different fighting styles to fit your character. - The first and only GTA to have 3 different cities as well as their respective countrysides to make the game feel massive and immerse the player in the world around them. 3. Halo 2 - While Halo CE changed FPS games on consoles forever, Halo 2 changed online matchmaking on consoles forever by introducing online play and player-based matchmaking that wasn't seen before up until Halo 2. - Expanded the Halo universe substantially for the UNSC, The Covenant, and The Flood. - Had a ranking system that rewarded player skill and wins - Introduced player emblems and multiple colors to change your Spartan/Elite to fit whatever you wanted. - Had an Active Roster system that lets you see what your friends were doing when you were in-game in Halo 2. - The only Halo game with a Clan system

On top of what Psyntifik said about impact and influence, I think raw quality is an important factor. I also think an understanding of the medium is important - as much as I enjoyed Batman - The Telltale Series, Telltale failed as a game development team for a reason. I'm not going into specifics right now, but those are the parameters by which we should be answering the question of objective best and worst games. So like Psyntifik said, the people saying Fortnite is the worst game ever made are reaching lol.

Best game: Halo 3/Reach, I have so many memories with both I can't deside. Warframe, even though I don't play it any more (Deleted it so i could install borderlands.) it was an amazing game and DE is simple one of the few best game componians ever. Apex, Just love the crap out of that game. Worst game: *grits teeth.* Fortnite battle royale.
