Who at Bungie decided that this bow was a good idea for a PINNACLE weapon? It took me around 8 hours to earn and I honestly would have been better off farming for a Subtle Calamity which is both a better bow and can get a better roll. This weapon is in need of a MAJOR buff.

66 commentairesWhy does everyone think that Pinnacle weapons need to be gamebreakers?? Hush is like Loaded Question. Its designed to fulfill a particular role, and to allow greater build diversity. Anytime you run a bow....especially in PVE...you are vulnerable up close. The slow rate of fire of the bow leaves you vulnerable to being overrun by trash mobs. So you almost always have to equip a special weapon that can kill quickly up close. Hush is designed so that the bow functions as a more effective short-range weapon. Hipfire a shot at a close target....get a headshot....and then you get off follow-on shots much faster. So you can defend yourself up close with it better....and it frees you up to run something other than a shotgun or the Last Word. Yes, Subtle Calamity is a much better bow if you have the time and distance to stand-off and fire at individual targets at range. But if I have trash mobs in my face and need to put them down quickly....I'm going to want Hush. ...and that last scenario is a situation you frequenly find yourself in while playing Gambit.

8 commentairesI see you play on console, unfortunately anything on console kind of sucks. The 30 fps making the game feel sluggish and the terrible recoil mixed with an inconsistent aim assist makes using bows a terrible choice. Hush is straight up trash in console, when you use aim assist to aim for the head the game sometimes moves it towards the torso so you wont land as many headshots firing from the hip. On pc aim assist is not an issue since a mouse is simply point and click and absolutely no recoil. Hush is actually very top tier on pc, unless console gets an update where all weapons have almost no recoil and aim assist doesn’t force you to fight your thumb then hush will always be bad. This is not really a weapon problem, its a system problem. I see no reason why console players cant have the same recoil as pc

I agree. It really has no unique qualities and the asked for a ridiculous amount of grinding for it. Another bungie fail. This is not the first and will not be the last.
-
Im quite happy with it. It’s fun to use, and decently good.
-
Hush is one of the best Destiny Youtubers tf ;)

4 commentairesPinnacle weapons should be unique, NOT over powered. Hush is fine.

I think this bow is okay on PC? Not sure but I can see them having a better time with it. But a crit headshot from the hip. Even with icarus mod it's hard to land one. In pvp? Don't even try it. Shotgun apes can kill you also without aiming but their is reliable and faster(and less skill). Anything farther than that you must be lucky landing it. Let alone hitting the second shot.

I use it all the time and have a blast Put an Icarus mod on it.

3 commentairesThank you Yes I've been telling ppl this. It sucks and was a shitty grind for those medals. Bows aren't fun to hipfure. It really isn t that fast when the perk activate. If you compare it against the VOW I'd take the VOW any day for fast bow. But all hush has is the ridiculous hip fire perk that's supposed to speed things up. Useless to compared to the other legendary ones that might be slower but are actual killers

3 commentairesLol you actually played gambit?

Haven't unequipped it since I got it. You're insane if you think Hush is bad. It is a top-tier bow in PvE, and it IS the best bow in gambit. Have yet to try it in crucible, but I'm sure it's skill ceiling is miles high. Just because it isn't game-breaking doesn't mean that it is bad.
-
Ssshhhh... Hence the Name.
-
It's one of the higher dps weapons, the problems though are hip fire accuracy/ aim assist even with enhanced bow targeting and freehand grip or targeting adjuster. It shoots 2x faster than any other bow of that archetype, but the thing is because of hip fire in this game being about as reliable as halo: ce aiming, you're better off with TLW in pvp if you can consistently land hip fire head shots. It's not exactly bad, just less viable in pvp and against player sized npcs.

If we are talking PVP, i feel that far too often folks use PVP as a gauge for how powerful a weapon is. At longer ranges it is at a disadvantage to a subtle calamity with archers tempo and fast draw time in PVP. However, in PVE, which is 50% of gambit, it is a monster. It is much easier to proc the perk during gambit because of the number of dopey enemies, however when countering an invader making an approach you can proc the perk on a mob and turn and just spam arrows at the invader. I imagine the perk makes it the lowest TTK in pure body shots. But that is what gambit is about, juggling enemies and other players. Seems like an appropriate pinnacle weapon for that activity.

If you use it the way its intended. Its the highest dps bow in the game.. period Subtle calamity doesn't even touch Hush, when you use it properly... Hush is great, and is stupidly accurate even for hip fire

Trolling????

7 commentairesUnless you're using it how it's supposed to be used, you won't think it's good.
-
I feel like its a very situational weapon. Though, I dont really know, I dont have it yet and I dont think I want to get it cause I try to play gambit as little as possible.

3 commentairesJust received it a couple days ago. It's neat. There is definite strength in the perk and it is pretty smooth if Archers Gambit can be consistently activated. Emphasis on 'consistently' though. It still has good stats and plays well without the perk active, but without it's basically a high-range/accuracy solar Subtle Calamity. It's a different style of bow game-play from the usual and I find myself needing to back-up mentally to approach it not like I would Monarch or a standard combat bow. I think this is a positive mark since any weapon that asks you to approach standard game-play even just a little bit helps add some flavour and uniqueness to the various weapons. In terms of a buff though, I am not in agreement about a 'major' one. Perhaps an increase to the reload speed, but otherwise I don't see the point. It doesn't need a damage buff since that's what the draw-speed does, it doesn't need a range buff since it already has the highest range of any bow (Wish-Ender may beat it here a bit?). Handling maybe?
