We were there for three hours. I double layered SPF 50 on me and spent maybe 10 minutes in the water. The rest of the time I was under an umbrella reading a book.
I'm -blam!-ing burnt. Everything hurts and I'm dying. Also, sand. Everywhere. WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THE BEACH?!

I love the beach....at night. Drinking around a fire pit with the wind blowing and the waves rushing in and out is simply the best.
-
I generally enjoy beach episodes
Wort

Wort
Maybe you should stop dressing in black.

I lived in San Diego for 15 years a block from the beach. It was awesome! Hot chicks everywhere in bikinis. Multiple bars and restaurants in walking distance. I realized at one point I hadn’t left my neighborhood for 2 years!

I would have spent all the time in the water, exploring the underwater fauna and flora, and just enjoy swimming and diving.

Yep feel your pain ,very fair skin and get burnt to a crisp every year at the beach, because that’s what my wife wants ,”happy wife happy life”. I’d rather be horseback riding in the badlands, exploring some cave system somewhere, or just generally being in the forest away from civilization😣

1 commentaire(Inserts Anakin jokes here) I don’t mind the beach much. We have some quieter beaches walking distance from where I live- as in, normal beaches with no tourists occupying every square inch of sand. Just a few people walking around. I don’t like to go during the day but will occasionally take an evening walk down there when the sand is cool to the feet and the water is refreshing.

I'm guessing you're really pale? I burn slightly the first time I'm out in summer, but I just get tan after that. Also, you might not be aware, but SPF isn't a measure of how strong sunscreen is. Rather, it tells you how long it lasts. SPF literally means "sunslight protection for," so SPF 50 would protect you for around 50 minutes before you should reapply it. In addition, being in water makes it easier to burn. In addition to washing off non-waterproof sunscreen, the water refracts the sun's rays. if you're in the water, the UV rays (those are the harmful ones) are even worse for you. I don't remember if it's because the water filters out everything but the UVs or if it's because it bounces the UVs around, though. I haven't read about this shit since high school, so my memory's kinda fuzzy there. Anyways, hope you feel better soon. Sunburns suck. Make sure you apply aloe vera, it tends to soothe burns and it feels pretty refreshing. It's kinda like the pleasant sting of hydrogen peroxide on an open wound (or maybe I'm just a masochist? Idk, lol).

Idk why most people like it but I can tell you why I do. -The water makes your skin feel SO GOOD. -The wind is always refreshing. -Swimsuits 😉 -My half-hispanicness allows me to tan pretty well so that’s a plus. -The beach provides incentive for me to workout and exercise more as I wear a little less clothes than I normal. But for those who burn easily I can see the negatives so you have my respect.

1 commentaireThe last time I went to a beach I got sand in my left eye and had to visit the local fire department branch to get it flushed with saline.

1 commentaireI don’t burn but beachs usually are pretty boring

Bring some pretzels and watermelon, maybe some sea salt ice cream.

Fun Fact: Generally speaking, the number is for how long you have until you need to reapply . Did you reapply after 50 minutes?
