NEW YORK (AP) - The online delivery wars are heating up inside shoppers' homes.
Walmart is now offering to have one of its employees deliver fresh groceries and put them in your refrigerator when you're not home.
The nation's largest grocer said Friday that it will be offering the service this fall for more than one million customers in three cities: Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Missouri, and Vero Beach, Florida. Later this year, the service, called InHome Delivery, will also accept returns for items purchased on Walmart.com.
So, probably not going to be available where any of you actually live. If its successful in those cities though, I'm sure it will spread.
I dont like Walmart anyway, but I dont think I like the thought of employees entering my home when I'm not there. If they want to bring me groceries while I am home, that might be neat though.
I have heard they are paying/treating their employees better than they used to though
Your choice I guess, I work in peoples homes and it amazes me how willing people are to just leave us alone in their home. I wouldn’t I know what some of the people I work with are like. 😐 not thieves, just your average perverts 😂
-
I'm not letting someone walk into my house and stock my fridge.

1 commentaireAmazon is doing the same thing I’ve you have the Ring system installed. If you have a camera to make sure no shenanigans happens it would be fine. But I’m also not about to put a camera in my own house so I don’t have to go to the grocery store

1 commentaireThat's a hard pass from me dog. I use Kroger Click List. The fact that I can just drive and pick up groceries in the parking lot after work is life changing.
-
Where I work, the people get paid rather well and we still have some idiot getting caught stealing, so hell no, I am not about to trust some disgruntled, underpaid Walmart employee in my home!
-
I’ll only trust it if they hand deliver me toilet paper whilst I’m in the bathroom
-
Walmarts sketch af, why would I want one of those sus employees in my house.
-
Hell no! Why should we let them in our homes. They know where we live and we should let them in our home? That’s messed up.

1 commentaireWhat about Kansas City, Kansas? Is it only Kansas City, Missouri?

1 commentaireGood lord folks, how lazy are we going to get? Are they going to be cooking the groceries and feeding it to us next?

I would install a camera first. At the very least, I’d have a sign warning of a camera.
-
Dog maulings, mouldy food and dirty fridges await!

Walmart wants to know your location

Well the last time I actually bought something from Wal-Mart it was a fake copy someone sold back to them with two other copies so even if this would be on the up and up you tell me.

The people who work at my Walmart can barely bag groceries.

It's bad enough that I shop there but I'd be damned if I'll ever let them into my house let alone my doorstep.
