Some activities are only going to be a +1 over your power level. It seems like most are a lot higher than that though. What you need to do is this: 1) Do the harder stuff first and you’ll see your power level jump quickly. When about 1/2 or more of your gear has been leveled up, then you go and do the +1 activities. If it drops on a piece of gear that hasn’t already received an increase, it will be a larger increase “for that piece of gear”. 2) So, basically just change the order in which you do activities and you’ll notice a big difference. 3) Grind for Prime Engrams by doing as much stuff as you can while you have a Fireteam Medallion equipped. It helps get more drops quicker. I hope that helps.

Remember, if the gear that drops is a +1, always compare it to your power level, not to the number of the gear it is replacing. That is bad luck when that happens, but it is working as intended. Example: if your average is 705, and your highest gear is 708, you may actually see gear drop at -2 or 706. Always compare the number to your power level number. Have fun. 😀
