Now do a poll to see what people prefer, between an annual pass, and nothing except a small 3 missions like we got in the April update during year 2 of D1.
My guess, is that the Annual pass gets more votes than the April update mixed with a whole lot of nothing.

That's what amazes me. Year 2 of D2 was a handful of missions, a backwards version of an existing strike, and the rework of POE. But people look back on it like it was a flawless period of time, presumably because Taken King was that damn good.

That's probably part of it. But I think a lot of people have a hard time just accepting the current state of things. And I don't just mean Destiny 2 year 2. I mean in general. People are just never satisfied. They always want more, bigger, better, cheaper, and form fit, for their personal wants. It's why this forum is constantly filled with complaints. People hate crucible. People like or love crucible. People love certain weapons and devalue others. People want a casual, powerful, never have to worry about dying or failing. While others enjoy a challenge and feel more satisfied if things aren't just handed out, but earned through a grind or a difficult set of parameters. And many/most people can't accept that not everyone wants the same thing when it comes to most things, including the games we play. This inability to accept that people want different things causes the toxicity we see in so many of these posts. I play in the Destiny universe, for what it is, and don't waste time complaining about what it is not. I'm willing to let Bungie decide what the current meta is, and what level of challenge Bungie wants the Destiny universe to entail. Too many people imo, want to have the game curated to what they personally want, instead of simply accepting what it is and trying to enjoy Bungie's ideas on what it should be. Perfect example: cores being connected to infusion. Would I mind if they weren't tied to infusion? No, not in the slightest. But do I care that they are? Also, no, not in the slightest. It is just the current vision of what Destiny is supposed to be. Provided by Bungie, the company that created the Destiny universe. If it broke the game for me, or made the game less fun, I would just stop playing. As far as this post is concerned, I like both DLC, and the annual pass. And I accept it costs money and takes time to make video games, so I don't mind having to spend money, or having to wait for new content.
