It is impossible to get legend as the average player because top tier crucible players are doing recoveries on sh!t player accounts and then matchmaking with people doing it completely legit. This is causing the legit player to constantly lose Glory points and never achieve their goals.
A simple the solution would be to not allow unranking and only lose glory points on the first loss.

2 commentairesI see a lot of replies saying “ get better”. Doesn’t help when it’s 3v4. And your other teammates just rush in to be killed. Don’t know anymore what to think of competitive. Bungie has never listened to any input from players. I still think it should be no lost points for loosing and that Shaxx should have competitive bounties that award points. Drifter has Gambit bounties that award points so we know it’s possible. Plus look, yowill “get better”

2 commentairesSo I get on every week to do my competitive matches and gain the weekly bonus. Hopefully win 1 out of 3, but how the F can I win if matches start with only 3 players total on my team, its every Fn week. Not great odds to win. I have been so close to 2100. You make me rage quit because the system you want to work is F up. Detuct less points for a loss if there is only a team of 3 or less and more for a win. So so so so angry. Yes I'm suspended i raged quit because 2 out of 3 matches started today with a total of me and 2 others.

1 commentaireSolo crucible player here. Last four matches I’ve been on a team of 3. This seems to happen more than it should. Glory points should reflect individual game play. Joining a team sounds good but the reality is that it’s not often a fun experience because of all the sweaty vitriol present. If you’re willing to put in the time as a solo comp player, you should be able to achieve top tier ranks based off your own effort. This also doesn’t allow you to be carried by other players.

2 commentairesI agree too, but also think that the most frustrating stuff is that you lose points when you're playing solo comp and you get into a match ALONE against a full stack. I've seen this on my own soooooo many times and lost so many points that I just don't know what to do. Every time I get 1800-1900 in comp the next thing happens - game drops me to a 1v4 comp. wtf bungie?
-
1 commentaireAgree. This or have comp. not have a loss penalty, just no points for one.
-
Majority agree that competitive is terrible, but Bungie completely ignores the concerns, just like they do with the rest of the game. They like having the reputation of failed game developers.

19 commentairesI had a post about it recently as well. I was trying all ways to go through it solo. But really, lfg is the only way to go if you do not have clan mates who wants to go grind crucible. All my clan mates avoided crucible mostly. I tried like every soloist only to see my rank going up and down and it's taking forever. I nearly gave up the idea of comp until lfg shone some luck on me when I found some randoms all between zero and heroic ranks and we went in as a team. Took a few matches to blend into one another's play style and to decide who should be striker and who should play support. Nothing will work if no one wants to wear their comms set and talk. We played a total of 14 matches and won 12 of them, 11 straight in a row. I've never ever been in a winning streak of more than 4 ever in D2. But as a team, we did it and both my teammate and myself gotten our Recluse in 3 hours from Heroic 1 and friends we became. Our team of randoms are from all corners of the globe, 1 in US, 1 in UK, 1 in Asia and 1 in Australia making a full circle... 😅 I never thought that would work out but it did... There's no other way to play it unless you can keep a minimum of 2.0 KD in the worst of matches to be able to see a miniscule of hope. Else I don't see how a large pool of soloists wouldn't end up as cannon fodders in comp. Hard to find or join comp activities via lfg, true that. Start one on your own, state your criteria in the header and wait. Still that isn't a sure fire win once found. Have to depend on your team work next. Unless it's going to be for a quest step that doesn't require ranking in comp, I don't think I'll ever set foot in comp as a soloist moving forward. QP wise, I'm not playing with much expectations these days. After I'm done with my Redrix, I'll vaporize from QP... probably forever... Lol

3 commentairesHell it is impossible to get to Fabled just to get the pinnacle weapons much less make it to the top of the mountain. I have over 100 Comp wins (if you take Doubles and Trials out) and have only gotten to a high of 933 Glory. supposedly, you only need 23 consecutive wins to get there. I have 4 times that amount and never even been half way.

The whole PvP system is bad. Lower playerbase isn’t helping. Sweat feast everywhere

1 commentaireI cant stress it enough. Bungie needs to fix match making period. Ill go into a match and get railed 9/10. Ive recently started the quest to get lunas and ever since then ive been having a terrible experience. I started off as mythic 1 today. I left today as guardian 3. Its a constant thing of me being put up against far superior players and loosing that match. Ive played around 30 matches and won 3 times. In both Quickplay and comp. This absolutely a terrible system and needs to be fixed.

Funny thing is, they do it on twitch too, i wish I could report them for playing on others account

1 commentaireAgree, still on a loosing streak, down two rank levels. Just had offense/defense on the bombs game where 6 matches were done in 5 minutes. 1 person on our team had 1 kill on the 3rd & 5th matches , no one else got any. We were all running and shooting and getting absolutely slayed as the game designers intended. Maybe we were playing them? It was all singles. Three more for this shock denial pursuit and I hope to never play this mode again. How can Bungie game designers be so great at some things and so poor at others?
-
2 commentairesAgree. My loosing streak is backing me up to zero. No fun. I would not be playing Comp at all if not to get thru the shock & denial pursuit. Game play wants to insure some character building. Another match and back to this post. Yep. Losing streak extended, another rank lower. I played pretty well and we we still beat by a factor of 4 of more. Our control score was 27. How do you get such an upsetting loosing streak. Just describe the poor match making in forum and the AI pays you back with interest. The database knows every button press I’ve made since launch of D1. Where have all the good programmers gone? Long time passing.

1 commentaireA simple solution would be is to get good

i just loaded into an 3v4 from the beginning... why? Why do you have to loose points for such a loss? I mean its ok to be hard, but all the smurfs already out there makes its a bad experience. just sain...

6 commentairesIt's competitive, the average player isn't supposed to be able to hit legend.

8 commentairesThe average player isnt supposed to be able to get max rank. It's not competitive if anyone can reach max rank. The system works fine.
