Players have been fighting against bloom since halo reach so it is beyond me why it would still be in place in destiny 2 when even at destiny 1 launch people hated it. When 343 added it back people rejoiced and loved it. For the love of god bungie please get rid of ghost bullets and bloom in destiny 3 and consoles not PC. Hip firing bloom is understandable and so is mid air bloom however if I’m aiming my weapon at a guardian it should hit. Also when you hit the ground too hard and your gun has a spasm fixing that would be very much appreciated as well.
EDIT: to be clear I’m talking about destiny 3 if this change was put into destiny 2 Hand cannons would have nothing to stop them from dominating every crucible game mode. Destiny 3 if bungie finds a way to remove bloom and adjust hand cannons to this change I believe it’s fine.

9 commentairesMy solution: Remove Bloom entirely, make bullets projectiles instead of hitscan, decrease aim assist on all weapons, lower flinch on all weapons besides Sniper Rifles, and reduce overall recoil. I am so sick and tired of FPS games adding shit systems in hopes of lowering the skill gap. Flinch and Bloom ruin FPS games for me, and Hitscan lowers the skill gap by 100% because it removes all sense of actual thought and challenge. This game is already mindless for gods sake.

25 commentairesDestiny has the best fps gunplay of any shooter and hand cannons have dominated play for 4 1/2 years. Bloom isn't an issue.

10 commentairesBloom has been in Bungie games for years - it is not now, nor has it ever been, specific to Destiny. The Halo series had bloom, and no one cared. Maybe because it adds a sense of realism to the gameplay that helps with the suspense of disbelief, or the concept pulling one into their world. I can not say with any degree of certainty, however I have never had a problem with bloom because I know enough to pace my shots.

1 commentaireModifié par Fujimoose : 5/4/2019 6:30:50 AMBloom is when you try to spam fire your hand cannon and the cone gets wider causing missed shots. I don't think it has anything to do with range. They have damage fall off. Still I think they need to be adjusted. I think we should be able to take advantage of the rpm of whatever hand cannon type. Bloom does the opposite except with 180s. If bloom were removed hand cannons wouldn't get their insane range back. TTK wouldn't change either, maybe slightly anyway but nothing game breaking. If bloom were removed hand cannons would be accurate as they should be. Maybe bloom needs to get toned down if not removed. Or it should only be added to hip fire or in air shooting. I think they'll be alright in this sandbox. In d1 hand cannons were more forgiving and they hit harder. In d2 you need precision shots. They aren't as forgiving. Plus body shot damage is lower. If you hit the body you increase TTK.

Modifié par Darth : 5/5/2019 6:45:06 PMAs far as bloom goes, yeah it’s kinda silly. As far as removing the penalty in readying your weapon when landing hard, no. There has to be risk/reward to jumping. They removed a lot of the in air accuracy penalties (which didn’t make sense to have in the first place) but a landing penalty makes sense because you’re supposed to control your landings so it doesn’t happen. That’s something you can prevent by not letting yourself hit the ground so hard.

Yes because handcannons never ruled Crucible in D1. I was on PS Y1D1. The Hawkmoon and Thorn were savage. I used a Shadow Price dang near all year 1 since I didn’t get a Suros until late Y2 and HM was rivaling sniper rifles. It chaos...and fun

1 commentaireThe recoil thing on console is fine by me. For Bloom? Well, if it goes completely away then there'd only be spamming the trigger. They need to just crank it down not by a notch or two but by give or take around 3 or 4 years worth of planets

7 commentairesWe heard your feedback on bloom. So to fix it we changed the name to bolloon.

2 commentairesBloom has no place in FPS our bullets should land wherever we are pointing at that's how it should be.

Worst thing about reach and should never have been a thing Singularly desgined to lower skill ceiling by forcing players to slow down thier ttk to avoid ghosting

3 commentairesIf they remove bloom, I suggest they remove bullet magnetism as well. Would be a bit stupid, wouldn't it?

1 commentaireBloom only happens in Destiny, if you miss the triggers for Aim Assist and Auto Aim at the same time. Both of these elements have requirements, like you must be in at least 80% range, or your target is not moving, or you are strafing in the same direction as your target... etc. Some guns trigger both of these things at the same time, more often, which disables bloom. While guns like Luna's Howl trigger them both even at range, there are weapons that require you to dump upgrades into your character, to even land shots at medium range, without bloom. Also take into account, the fact that the person firing the gun sees visual cues, that technically are not happening in a PVP match. I have been killed by Autorifles, that 100% miss all shots... And I have done the same thing to other people, thinking, How did I get that kill when every bullet missed? It's always been a huge issue for me, and one of the main reasons I have hated PVP in destiny for a long time. It's not about adjusting to how the game works... its about making the game work.

This would be fine if Bungie puts a bigger mix of bigger maps in the rotation. Every map does NOT need to cater to cqb weapons like they do in D2. That’s the “bigger” issue at hand.

1 commentaireIf your looking for a game that defines Bloom, buy Destiny 3 . It’s going to be a complete miss.

More accurate weapons means more recoil

Seems like you didn’t read Bungie’s note that Jill and Joe just left, and how Bungie’s getting more and more concerned about its future, and that of this IP.

15 commentairesBut bloom is such a staple in FPS games. It only makes since... the longer you hip fire the less accurate you become.
