Of course it is the only mission with more fan service and effort put into it, as it is ment to lure the player into the story. Then later they do the lazy voiceovers with ghost making all those -blam!- bleeps and bloop sounds. If all the missions were along the scale of the first forsaken mission or first vanilla story mission it could be something really great. Instead we are left with these half ass jobs. This will lead to bungie getting a bad rep for their stories- [spoiler]Which they already have.[/spoiler] So anyways, when are you going back to couch surfing?

The scenery, the action, the thematics, the fact that it felt important with actual characters showing up, fighting alongside them rather than just throwing in lazy voice overs. Any other mission is mostly just running around in freeroam, but with voiceovers. That first mission actually made it feel like you were doing something epic. Everything following it mostly just falls short.

I want to play the storyline again without the crazy grind just to experience the story. I want my character to actually look like a character I want to play. I want to use the weapons I earned not what was just dropped and I have to use it because it's higher light. I want to experience the game AS IF YOU DIDN'T TAKE ALL OF THE WEAPONS AWAY FROM US THAT WERE EARNED IN D1. I'm trying to play the game over again to experience it without having to go through the stuff I didn't like in year 1 of D2.

How about just allowing us to play any story mission we want at any time, just like it was in D1. You made all strikes available, so make all story missions available.

The entirety of the first story mission was just a great experience in general. Going back to the old tower and fighting the cabal throughout the tower. Mounting an offensive on the immortal. Then confronting Ghaul himself. Homecoming was one of the best introductions to a game i have ever had. Creating more experiences like that but more consistent over a campaign would be great for D3 or the next big expansions story.

It was a nice introduction. The tower being attacked. The interaction with npc. Other player randomly joining to help out. It was perfect. Please do consider this if you make a new expension or in D3 please.

Oh yes, please make this happen. This was my favorite mission in the whole game, was great we got it back briefly for Solstice ... but having it come up in daily heroic would be awesome

Are we eveb talking about the same thing here? I'm referring to the first mission "Homecoming" during the Solstice of Heroes event. I clearly remember doing this mission, standing inside of Zavala's bubble during the missle launch during the Cabal attack at the tower during this event. Then we met Gaul and he stripped us from our light.

Then we met Gaul and he stripped us from our light.[/quote] Okay, I started doubting myself and had to go watch the solstice mission on YouTube. The solstice event didn’t include the bubble. It started when you board ghauls ship, cutting out the attack and fall of the tower. That’s the part I want to experience again.

The nostalgia of being back in the tower, the main tower, and being able to go to locations that you always wanted to go to in the beginning. Please Cozmo, if you could do this for us, I will personally sign myself up to work with you guys over in Bungie headquarters.
