I know we can see how many people have been online on any given day but feels like player populations in general are very low right now.
To play SOTP, for example, I’ve spent 20 minutes or so in orbit trying to get a fire team and only have one player join so far. A few weeks ago, even at the weekend, it was much quicker.
I’m starting to worry that player populations will never recover

It will pick up after Tuesday, people like me who stop playing when they reach max level, will return for a month or so. I haven't logged in, for about 8 weeks, so it will feel fresh again with the latest update. . Will it be any good is another matter.

1 commentaireModifié par ThelProfessorl : 3/4/2019 3:53:21 PMYou realize people are playing other games right? There's been nothing to do the past month in Destiny, of course no one is going to be on. People will come back when the DLC drops, like always.

Game is struggling. Players are way down. Clans dead again. New season will help for a week-10 days, but many are moving on. Bummed about it.

Modifié par Tufcat : 3/4/2019 4:44:53 AMIt probably won't. The forge is PvE and "eh" at best. Certain weapon perks were made available to more weapons but that's about it. LMG's and exotics were the only real addition. Brought back Thunderlord and The Last Word. This new season is PvP focused. How popular is Gambit nowadays? It's bringing back Thorn. Xur will finally be selling Forsaken exotics. The last season will be Calus based. The cover art is Benedict 99-40 with either The Traitor's Fate or something new. Don't @ me about that. Maybe Calus will have a part to play in the overall story now. If this was D1 we would be getting a massive update/content drop would have been delivered next month with RoI coming later this year. I don't remember how they handled the April update but RoI had hype. The population has plateaued and will most likely remain that wat until D3 unless Bungie has something hidden up their sleeves

1 commentaireCheck in later this week. That will tell what the population is. We should see a lot of people coming back for the new season. But you never know. A lot of people don't like Gambit.

1 commentaireModifié par PilksUK : 3/4/2019 3:54:01 PMHonestly up until Black armory I played everyday since launch... My clan was small but still active and we all stopped playing around the same time black armory was just grind for grinds sake the game has never lived up to the promised power fantasy due to having to keep things balanced for pvp sake... Returning D1 weapons is just recycled content and Bungie fooled us into paying for it... The new* endgame activities they promised is just another horde mode...so not new.... Season of the Drifter will not bring me back and we have been discussing on Discord and nobody in the clan will be coming back as none of us enjoy gambit for several reasons none of which are gambits fault its just not a mode most of us enjoy.... The reckoning is YET ANOTHER HORDE MODE and the rewards are armour sets with set bonuses that benifit you in gambit prime.... so no point in doing that mode.... Vicarious visions is working on the final DLC of the anual pass so there is hope for that as they do good work... Its just a shame that most of the good content thats come to D2 has been done by vicarious visions or Highmoon studio's... The bad stuff has all been Bungie and thats what we have to look forward in the future. guardian.gg tracks accounts so you can get a real look at player numbers (destinytracker tracks guardians) 227,913 Tracked Yesterday all 3 platforms combined..... Yikes and this at the weekend when numbers are normally higher!.

5 commentairesI don't have the pass and I have 3x 650 chars. No reason really to play right now. I don't see the overpriced, low content pass drawing back players.
-
Happens toward the end of every content drop man. Once people reach max light and have done all they want to do they drop off. Check back in a week or so when jokers wild is out. Also you said you were sitting in orbit for 20 mins waiting to do scourge. Was this with guided games? bc if so bun that off, it’s a lost cause
-
Modifié par name : 3/4/2019 1:12:22 PMwell, what exactly did they do to bring people back? more of the annyoning and boring stuff (gambit) + ignoring long existing problems + more mictrotransactions will not help to save the game

11 commentairesModifié par mors_orcusjb : 3/4/2019 5:01:20 PMThey haven’t ever recovered lol. Player numbers are crap. Idiots tell you people play other games, but they don’t look at numbers from d1 to d2 or the overall trend from expansion to expansion. Even when people come back for new content they don’t stay for long at all and the overall trend including returns around content has been negative for a long time (and yes the slope or rate is pretty damn bad. It always flatlines around here as you have your fanboys. But the numbers include all players from every console so ya the players aren’t here. Bungie drive and continues to drive them away.
-
There is nothing in the current offering that will bring back any players. The gambit play mode wasn't that well received and a "sweaty" gambit will be likely less popular.
-
D1 has had lower numbers. Not that big of a deal
-
2 commentairesThat’s because scourge isn’t a popular raid, not because player pop is super low.
