Rumor has it next major Destiny release will have PvP areas on PvE patrol zones.
IMO...Worst idea ever, this game is about saving the universe, and fighting gods, I don't want to be trying to do a quest, mission, or public event while i'm getting sniped by a troll with Queensbreaker.
Edit: The rumor came from Reddit (Sorry, don't have a link) from someone called AnontheNine (probably spelled that wrong) but he made several predictions before Forsaken and all came true....
Edit #2: One Guardian pointed out it could be used for Faction Rallies, which actually doesn't sound too bad.

Guardians of light and/or darkness on an Endgame pve/pvp planet. Make it part of the endgame not a section of a patrol

Random guy on forum:
Hey everyone, this game doesn't have enough issues to whine about, let's all start whining about ones that are just rumors for a game that is years from being released.
Forum community:
Great idea!
Rumor has it Destiny 3 will be PvE based with no PvP

Modifié par hva58hva : 1/17/2019 3:05:05 AMHmmm, it worked so well in Fallout 76, combining PVP with the normal PVE......oh, wait.....no it didn’t. Just a bad idea. Let us play the way we want, whether it be PVP or PVE, but don’t combine them in patrol areas.
-
Agreed, terrible idea. But bungie seems to enjoy empowering punk-ass trolls and inciting nastiness amongst their player base.
-
That will be final Nail in the Coffin for Me i don’t Dislike PvP but putting it in PvE side of the Game is not what Destiny is or should be
-
If they let players opt out of world pvp like WoW, it might actually be kinda cool.
-
That acutally sounds like a really cool idea. I would like to see how it goes.
-
rumor has it D3 will be mobile only. DO YOU GUYS NOT HAVE PHONES!
netease $100m investment is scuury
-
Damn, D3 is more than a year away & allready ruined. I'm guessing this will be the downfall of Bungie?
-
100% Agree, it's the reason I HATED the dark zone in "Tom Clancy's The Division"
-
I have one example where pve and pvp did well. Dark Souls 1-3 that was a blast.
-
I'm sure it's going to serve a specific purpose. And will probably only be viable in specific areas

Modifié par jaybird_29730 : 1/17/2019 6:25:34 PMWho doesn’t want to get gunned down by a four stack of LH’s or NF’s while out completing bounties?

It would be fun to have friendly fire turned on for fire team members in some activities. Only if you are a true fire team though, not match made stuff.
-
*bounty says complete 5 patrols* *spawns in EDZ* *dies to Telesto trap put by trolls* *uninstalls*
-
That's the best idea ever. This is what happens when COD kids are given free reign to post anything, regardless of how unintelligent their opinions are. I'm an old school MMO player and stuff like this is exactly what has been missing in gaming since the early 2000s when everything became so dull, shallow, unimaginative and began catering to the lower common denominator.

Super Full - Check Queenbreaker ammo full - Check Shotgun ammo full - Check Time to go troll people on Patrol ... Serious tweaking will need to be done here. First off it should be purely optional, like having the option to turn it on/off. Second when you go in there you start like in a crucible match (no heavy, limited special ammo). Enemies dont drop heavy and maybe very little if any special. Otherwise it will be people just sniping with QB and a super galore that will put Mayhem to shame.
-
I assume the PVP part is fought between two different types if guardian. Rumours have it that we can use the darkness in D3.
-
That would be really fun actually. Open world PvP would bring new life to zones and create an actual sense of danger in the open world. I would hope it would be Faction based to allow for territory control for each Faction.
-
It would be a tricky thing for them to implement properly, but can you imagine how satisfying it will be to start shooting that dumbass AFK player, or the guy that ruins trying to make the taken public event heroic?
-
Im all for it, i got no problem Q'in up for some invasion gankin. Esketit
-
Could be planned for faction rallies.

What if it’s like a Dark Souls type thing? Maybe tied to the lore of the Shadows of Yor? Here’s my idea: we know that Shin Malphur is hunting the Shadows. What if the Shadows also have a representative (Drifter???) who is looking for guardians to take out Shin. We would have this mini faction war. Each week you would be allowed to switch factions (not unlike the way the factions worked at the end of D1) and any time you were doing a PvE activity, there would be a risk that a “Hit” would be placed on your head. Not in a random death match way, but as in, at any time, a hostile could kick down the door Kool-Aid Man style to kill you for profit; one hostile for one target, any other “friendly” individuals wouldn’t be able to gank the invader (ie if im partied up with someone, and an invader pops in for them, I can’t do anything to help them directly, but can put down Bubbles, Wells, Banner Shields, etc). The individual factions ( the Shadows and Shin’s “Rogues”) could even have bounties that contributed to some meaningful goal (catalysts for TLW and Thorn/Malpheasence) that encouraged players to do a large amount of patrol activities, enough that it would take you a week to complete even with standard grinding. And yeah, I do think it should be an opt-in type thing, but I also think that incentivizing the game type would bring a breath of fresh air to running patrols.

If they don't make players to go there, and that would be an additional pvp, won't be a problem but if in order to get gears or whatever, make them go there, thdn that would be problematic like some other games.
